I stumbled upon this place after using the Citi bank ATM machine outside of a hotel. I peaked inside and decided to check this place out. It Intrigued me because it looked so cute but simple at the same time. I would definitely bring my friend here who loves chic coffee spots. I'm not a coffee drinker but I'll be back for the cute atmosphere and quietness.

My husband and stayed five nights at the Intercontinental Miami hotel. Four of the five mornings we had excellent coffee at Gualt's the Italian Cafe, a coffee shop that adjoined our hotel. I always ordered a latte, and my lattes were always delicious. My husband always liked his black Americanos. Whenever we ordered pastries or small ham&cheese croissants, our food was delicious. We love this place. I felt sorry for the hotel guests that ended up at the Starbucks in the hotel lobby. Once you know the way, all you have to do to get to Gualt's is walk 50 yards down an interior hallway past the Starbucks to arrive at the lobby of the adjoining Citibank office tower. (You can also get to the coffee shop by entering directly into the Citibank office tower, but you won't see a bank.) It is definitely worth the extra steps to patronize Gualt's. Most of the customers appeared to be employed in the Citibank office tower. The coffee shop has seating of perhaps 8-10 tables. There is some additional seating in the lobby of the office tower. The seating is well-spaced and comfy.

Pretty nice coffee shop inside a working/hotel center building. Don’t think there was wifi so I couldn’t work, but still nice seating. I got an iced vanilla latte which was a little sweet, but otherwise pretty normal.

Finally a good coffee in Miami.I had a hard time finding the place. You have to enter the building. Beautiful place.

The coffee was good and the setting was clean and appealing, yet the food was average and very limited. With a 4.9 rating, much more was expected. Bummer for me and the entourage:(
