We chose Kami-Koi to celebrate my mom's birthday. The ambiance is nice and very South Beachy, with upbeat music and a good vibe. The food was ok...tasty, but the portions were small for the price. We ordered 3 rolls (Valentina, Tuna Volcano, and the Volcano roll). Flavor-wise, they were decent, and the Volcano roll is torched tableside (a cute gimmick, but doesn't do anything for the presentation or flavor once the foil is opened. The hits were the shrimp soup and the chicken chaufa...generous portions and flavorful. The drinks we ordered (lychee martini and pina colada) were on the weak side but had decent flavor. Service was adequate (your bill has an automatic 15% gratuity added to it). Am I glad we tried it? Yes. Will we go back? Maybe.
