Neighborhood seafood restaurant that is worth the walk from Calle Ocho. I had the fried shrimp with yucca fries. They were excellent. Shrimp were cooked perfect and the yucca fries were crispy with nice soft inside. Also ordered the Grouper fish soup after seeing three people having it and looking like they were enjoying the soup. The soup was BLAND and lacked flavor. Btw, it didn't have whole pieces of Grouper in it as was explained by the waiter. It is cooked with the Grouper head. I also had their famous fried fish sandwich which was great! But more bread heavy than fish. The fried shrimp dish was by far the best however. Two great meals and an underwhelming soup. The service was excellent and prices ok. Definitely should try!

Excellent food and service, just wish the outside was cleaner, very trashy!1st impressions are important and sets the mood especially when you are about to eat.One photo provided but I could have taken more especially walking to the entrance and stepping over trash.

I went to eat with my son and we ate a blonde rabi fish between the two of us, a yellow rice, a soup and a Coca-Cola and they charged us $131 for those two meals that is a scam with $131 you eat in any luxury restaurant and you don't get They charge that for two people, it's criminal. It's true that they cook well, but that doesn't mean that they can charge $131 for two miserable people. Food in a place that is degrading, dirty, impeded, I don't even know what to say.

I had a 1 day layover in Miami. La Camaronera was definitely on my to do list. After 30 years, the food is as great as I remembered. Totally worth scheduling into my day.

I used to loved this place, but I’m not coming back to this restaurant again, the prices are just completely absurd, and they always try to do a bait and switch on the minutas, if you don’t want to sell an item why put it on the menu. The place was a Miami landmark, now it’s a tourist trap, and just overpriced hyped, my friend used to walk to this place in the 70’s, and we loved the counter space it had a great vibe for the average blue collar folk, if you want a better experience with better quality fish, go to Adrian’s in Hialeah Gardens

Long history coming to this local hole in the wall fish / seafood restaurant. The food is so good that over coming all other hurdles of traffic and parking & cash is worth the effort. Service has always been decent, The ambiance is melting pot of the daily worker and the boss man executive, All just trying to get something to eat while standing at the counter or sitting in the finally expanded seating area. Enjoy !!

What an incredible discover. We loved the place , I have to admit it was not the easiest place to go, but it was totally worth it. The menu it’s very simple and the offering are incredibly tasty.. the vision and understanding of Cuban sandwiches changed completely after eating their food everything they offered in a sandwich. It’s great oysters are not the biggest ones but they are affordable enough and they have happy hour so you can afford that and eat more.

I heard from somebody about this place and decided to check it out while in the area. I was utterly disappointed. It's on the plaza, trash all around the place. I took a couple of empanadas and conch fritters. We were on our way to another destination so I decided to take something to go. The lady tried to upsell us more but we didn't need that much food. I paid, didn't leave a tip as we were taking the order to go and her attitude changed 180 degrees! She basically pushed us outside to wait for the food and wouldn't even bring the bag out. It was comical and terrible. The place was almost empty. Even then I was still ok, I really didn't care. I thought the food was worthy of this behavior. But how disappointed I was with the food! Fried, not fresh empanadas and oily fritters. We didn't even finish. Nasty attitude, trashy place, and greasy, not tasty food. Waste of time...

Their hours say they close at 9pm but they had the doors locked and wouldn't let us in at 8:30 on a Friday night. Please publish correct information for your future guests.

Amazing experience! A hidden gem! The food was absolutely amazing. We had fried shrimps, shrimp tacos and mahi sandwich. Everything was very delicious. The seafood was very fresh, and tortillas for tacos were very delicious.
