It was my first time ordering at this place since I am visiting Miami and I am not very pleased with the food, I ordered a mofongo with chicken chicharrón. First of all, the mofongo is bland, it had no flavor and it was hard, and to top it off, the chicken was salty and the worst thing of all is that I asked if they had mayo ketchu and they told me yes and the order never brought it.

I can’t express enough how pleased I was with my experience at Mofongos! My Cuban bestie suprised me (I’m Puerto Rican) and took me here.. The place is cozy the servers are super friendly and inviting.. The Food is to fight someone for!! Ricisimooooo! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who loves PR sabor! And they even give you a shot of Coquito with your check! Thank you Frank , our server for making it such a pleasure ??Wepaaaaaaaaa!!!?????

The food was excellent! We had the sorrullitos, alcapurrias, and guineitos en escabeche to start. Followed by un Mofongo con pechuga de pollo en ajo. It was fantastic. We also had the pechuga rellena de mofongo with arroz con gandules and salad. The chicken breast was warpped in bacon, and the arroz con gandules had pieces of pernil. The coquito and Mojito de Parcha were also perfectly balanced. The waitress was very attentive, and the food came out quickly but fresh. Overall, it was a wonderful experience as a family. We left with a small souvenir of a family picture by the photographer at the restaurant.

Love this place! The ambiance is as authentic as it gets. Food is great. Service personnel dressed in authentic attire of times gone by. Staff knowledgeable and friendly.A definite gem in Puerto Rican cuisine. Will definitely go back when in Miami. Pasteles were however a bit small, especially for the price.Before we left the Manager even served us a bit of complimentary Coquito on our way out. Nice touch at the end of our experience.

A surprisingly great restaurant.We were exploring calle ocho and chose this a bit randomly and ended up with a great time.Service was amazing (our waiter spoke fluent French, Italian and Spanish!) and the recommendation to take on appetizer and share one main course per 2 people was on pointThese mofongos are quite large !Highly recommend the trifongo with fried meat, it was divine.Only thing I would change : the mojitos were really really light on the rhum.
