Recently, my other half and I checked out the omakase at Mr. Omakase. We've tried a bunch of omakase spots in Miami, and this place is a real gem, especially for the price. Arguably the best omakase experience in Miami. Up there with some of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. I’ve been coming here for 3 years but have been hesitant to give a review because I don’t want it to be any harder to find reservations. If you don’t like it here, you don’t know anything about sushi.

Mr Omakase exceeded my expectations. We went for a 14 course meal, which took about 1.5-2 hours - they are just slightly faster than the other omakase places I've been to, which I appreciated. Chef Rio prepared the food in front of us and was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the delicious food and the engaging conversation about his home country Japan. I highly recommend getting the sake pairing which makes the food go down easier - it is so much food that we were stuffed half meal! The ambience was great too, not too loud, not too noisy. The place is small and feels very cozy. There is a parking lot across the street, which costs $30 for 2 hours, however I recommend using the valet option in front of the restaurant that is twice cheaper.
