As far as Japanese spots go, this one is pretty good for being in the middle of the miami suburbs - pricing is decent and options are varied and you'll find the usual here. Not the best or most authentic but it's a great neighborhood restaurant and the layout is fun and very Japanese.

I have been a customer of Shibui for 40 years and today I had a really bad experience. The staff has changed and the service is horrible. I sat at the bar and after 10 minutes the waitress asked me what I wanted. I didn’t even get water. I ordered and after 20 minutes the people that came after me were served and I didn’t get any food. I decided to leave and spoke to the manager on the way out. She apologized as well as the waitress but sadly no option was given. So sad to see one of my favorite places decline at such a fast rate.

Only place I found in miami that lets you sit down to eat Japanese style. Food is delicious and fresh. Alot to choose from the menu whether your into sushi or noodles to karaage chicken!If you’re not a fan of floor seating, they do have regular seating downstairs.On busier nights, try to reserve over the phone especially if you want to seat up stairs.Great place for a date night or to celebrate!(or just enjoy some good authentic tasting Japanese food)Parking: small parking

This is my by far my favorite restaurant. No better sushi than here. Service is wonderful and love the different atmosphere. Fresh and delicious sushi. Would recommend 100%. All I would love is if they can bring back the fried cheesecake bite because the big piece of cheesecake always comes out frozen and cant be eaten.
I always come and I have never had problems but today we ordered an acevichado roll and a volcano roll and when the plate arrived they put the 2 rolls together and the volcano came in a tower, the rolls on top of each other and an amount of mayonnaise that made it look It lost the flavor... we called the manager and she told us that unfortunately we would have ordered the Apare sauce and without any kind of apology... very very bad
