Awesome patio lunch on a beautiful spring Fla day. The server Tanasia was helpful and easy going. Food was great and not overly salted. Low stress, low anxiety, no rush, and away from the main foot traffic, but the air conditioner came on and was loud, so sort of ruined the atmosphere.
For many years, Copacabana has been our go-to when we're in Mount Dora. I lived in Mount Dora for a short time and loved walking down to Copacabana for a quick dinner. It is not exactly Miami style Cuban food since the owner has always put a little spin on the dishes, but it is very close. We had not been there in a while and, with the exception of the food, our latest visit on March 23rd was disappointing. We just visited this restaurant and wanted to love it because of the atmosphere! and music. However after the music we were unimpressed with the food. We had to add condiments to make the food edible .The mahi mahi sandwich was all bread . The shrimp bowl was plain and needed seasoning. After adding condiments which we were charged for it was better … we would go back for the live music but we pass on the food ..
