Website suspended. Health inspector would give this location a C grading but since Florida doesn’t give letter grades, this location has been deemed an eat at your own risk eatery. Stay clear.

Food was greasy, yet meat was dry; flavors were bland. Lettuce was wilted and spotted. Potatoes were lumpy, dry, awful; gravy was from a packet. Waitress complained about replacing an extra plate that was obviously chipped with a chunk missing; for their $5 extra charge, I expect a clean unbroken plate, especially when charged their mandatory extra fee. Place was near empty on Easter Sunday, which should tell you everything. Don't pay extra for lowsy food and bad attitude. Grapefruit beer was only redemption, but we went to eat.

Poor customer service. Sign clearly states: Close at 4:00pm on Sundays. Kitchen at 3:30pm. Show up at 3:30pm virtually no one in restaurant. Walk in open door and get an order barked out from Patio...Kitchen closed!! Nothing like I am so sorry or let us see if we can squeeze you in. Just barked a command and went back to his beer. In today's economic climate it was surprising to turn customers away without a welcome and a bit of conversation about better times/days on which to return. Not a good vibe convincing us to try again on another day. People do have a choice on which small businesses to patronize. Review obviously not based on quality of food just the method on greeting potential customers.

Quaint little restaurant in Mt. Dora. Definitely has a German vibe about it. The menu is simple. Definitely take a look before you sit down to make sure it has something that appeals to you. That being said, I found my brats to be super tasty and worth ordering again. The German potato salad was also delicious. Service was friendly, but we never got our waters refilled, so that was a bit uncomfortable.

Went here and really enjoyed the food and service. Had the Roulade and some Black Forest cake for dessert. Outstanding. The kraut was pretty decent. Wife had the apple strudel which she absolutely loved. Quaint and small, and a nice German flair.

We've eaten here a few times and have really enjoyed it. Got on their website tonight to confirm how late they would be open. Their website and Google said 9pm on Friday and kitchen closed 30 minutes prior to closing which is reasonable in my book. We arrived around 7:15pm just to be told the kitchen was closed and they were doing drinks to-go only. Unfortunately, we took our business elsewhere tonight. Hopefully it'll be a better experience the next time.

This was our first time here in the German restaurant, and La took such phenomenal care of us!! We had some delightful dishes with the most scrumptious sauces and mustard for the pretzel and bratwurst as well ~ we will definitely be back to sample more of the authenticity from the menu again and again! Friendly atmosphere where the patrons were so inviting as well, and in an adorable little place in Mt Dora

I am from Germany and this is by far the best German restaurant in the area. We came during the Mount Dora art festival so they had a limited menu which is understandable with the amount of people.Highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff was friendly, the food was beyond disappointing. The red cabbage was mush, the mustard was not homemade, it tasted like gulden's brown mustard. The brats were overdone and tasted packaged. The schweinbraten was a watery "hormel" pork loin with packaged brown gravy. The pork actually left a pool of water on the plate, under the gravy. It is unfortunate that at an arts festival, when you should be showcasing your best, you limit the menu and provide sub-par food. Sad.
