Lovely spot for lunch. Great food and service. We really enjoyed it. We had soup, quiche and a small side salad.

Consistently serve great meals. Proprietors are friendly, attentive. We enjoy breakfasts and dinners at Cafe Gourmand. Crispy duck dinner is excellent. Various quiches served breakfast through lunch time.

I hate to leave a review like this for a small Resturant but the experience was so bad I have to be honest. We decided to try this place for valentines day dinner and unfortunately it was highly disappointing. The prices for what you get just aren't good, these are downtown Miami prices for a Resturant in a strip center not even in heart of Naples. We started with salads and $13 for a salad this size it was a very small salad plate the same thing with my wife's beet salad she had was $15. Then the real issue started we sat here for almost 50 minutes between salad and entree. No one came over to say sorry kitchen is backed up or anything and even when the food was finally delivered no apologies or mention of how long it took. At this point it was past 8pm so the Resturant had cleared out. My wife's dish was decent flavor wise, she had the scallop and shrimp gratin the sauce had good flavor. The scallops were gritty which means they need to be cleaned better, and the shrimp were salad shrimp super small. I had the beef bourguignon which was very disappointing it tasted like a cheap crock pot, pot roast. The broth was runny and not thick and rich like other dishes I have had. It was bland and had hardly any mushrooms or onion zero bacon. It didn't even taste like it was a red wine sauce just runny water based sauce. The portion was small and the flavors were disappointing. This was maybe a $60 meal and it cost almost $120 plus tip. I was still hungry after we left and had to eat something else when we got home. This was by far the most disappointing meal I have had since moving to Florida. Really ruined valentines day for me.

Food was goood but service wasn't what you would expect. To be fair the cost of going out to eat is getting to the point where we will either cut way back or quit all together.

French food is my passion so I was anxious to try this cafe for lunch. There were three of us in the party. We were greeted by Bernadette who I believe was the owner. First appearances the space was clean and the menu was very nice. I ordered a crepe on recommendation. While tasty it was very small. The other two each order a baguette sandwich. Sadly, they were not heated. All was well until the creme brulee was served for dessert. It was soupy; not a custard. We sent it back and the next one was also soupy. We were told they were busy the night before so they had to make them that morning and they didn't have time to set. So why serve them? And I have made creme brulee in the past. It doesn't take that long to set. They replaced the creme brulee with a chocolate mousse which was also too soft. No apologies, no discount. Additionally, while there they would not serve a woman a coffee who came in at 1:45pm because closing was at 2pm. Another gentleman was complaining their food was served cold and a third table was served the wrong sandwich.

My husband and I had dinner with our guests from Scotland. We both made the mistake of ordering the ribeye steak. It was awful. Easily the worst steak I've ever had eating out. It was thin and full of gristle. I would have sent it back and ordered something else, but each time we were served (wine, then food), the wait staff completely disappeared. At the end of the night, our Scottish guests tried to pay for their meal with their credit cards. They tried three cards. None of them worked. The waitperson said that an English couple had had the same problem earlier that evening. Paying for your meal should not be a problem!

We have dined at several other French restaurants in Naples. THis one was recommended to us as good as Chez Guy and Cafe Normandie. Sadly it didn't come close. There was an unpleasant odor emanating from somewhere in the rear of the restaurant with an aerosol can of room deodorizer visible on a table near the door to the kitchen. We should have gone with my initial instinct to leave at that point We started with the French onion soup which was mediocre Cheese was nothing special tasted like mozzarella not Gruyère Four slices of a baguette were in a basket on the table It was obvious it had been sitting out for awhile since one side had dried out. My husband ordered the cod special. His fish was tough I had the coquille Saint Jacques which was ok. We didn't order dessert. Such a shame as I had high hopes for this place. $100 down the drain.

We had a delightful dinner with two other couples. The food was terrific - everyone was pleased with their meals. Only critique was that the escargot needed much more garlic - fresh garlic. I had the orange duck. It was cooked perfectly. Crispy skin but juicy tender meat. Two of our party had the beef Bourgogne. Both raved about it. The service was attentive but unobtrusive as it always should be. Best of all, we could talk and be heard. It is a small restaurant and the tables are not packed in. So you can really dine and enjoy your dinner mates. I recommend it. We will be back soon!

Cafe Gourmand, North Naples! North Naples has always had several breakfast options. But how many French breakfast options? Cafe Gourmand is located in the Dutchess Center plaza, at 99 Ave north and Us 41 (west side). The staff greeted us promptly and we had our choice of where to sit. The restaurant is clean, tidy and organized. The decor is pleasant. We had egg croissant. Very nice flavor texture and temperature. Nothing pre-made or beneath a heat lamp.Prices are reasonable and even less than some of the chain breakfast places nearby. The menu also has crepes and other French breakfast items.Conveniently located in North Naples. A great place to get a quick bite after a workout or if you’re starting your day.Definitely a must try , and I’ve got my on a crepe for next time! Solid 5 ⭐️
