OK folks here is the difference between good and great.Took my lovely wife for her birthday and was greeted by the hostess. Mike the manager seated us at our table and we had a nice discussion about our time in Maine. Chastity was our server and could not have been more hospitable. Now here comes the difference between good and great. We had a slight hiccup with our dinner but it was immediately rectified with such dignity and sincere caring that we hardly took notice. That my friends is the difference between a good restaurant and great restaurant. Food and service were totally outstanding. Thank you Mick and Chastity for a wonderful evening!!

The Continental is an experience. Similar to the greatest films ever made, you must experience it more than once and in different ways. The beauty of just observing the precision of the staff is an experience in and of itself. The flora, open and outdoor dining layout, the live jazz on Friday. Every detail seemed hand selected, every move of the staff seemed precisely timed, but more importantly, effortless. The Piedmontese filet is the best steak I ever had. During our dining experience we ordered 15 different menu items and tried each. Similar to the staff, there was a precision and uniqueness to each. Poached oysters is a must have. 10/10

Food was ok nothing over the top. Our server Antonio’s was great! Another thing we were not thrilled about was our seating up against the sidewalk fence. Apparently you sit where they sit you, as you have no choice.

We went there for dinner three out of four evenings. Since every evening was great, we went again the next evening. The early dining menu is incredibly good. Great price/performance! On the second evening there was a problem with the quality of the main course, which was immediately recognized and corrected. Mistakes can happen, but the fact that it was solved so easily is commendable and not a given. But what was absolutely unsurpassable and something we had never experienced before, nor expected; In the end we didn't have to pay for the entire menu!!! Wow, thanks Jeff! That prompted us to make another reservation there the next (last) evening in Naples. The food was again a dream. See you again. Thanks.

Unfortunately, my visit was far from satisfactory. Not only did I find a hair in my mash potatoes and decided to ignore it, i then found another hair in my skirt steak, which was extremely off-putting, but when I brought it to the attention of the staff, they replaced it with another skirt steak and still had the audacity to charge me for it. The lack of cleanliness and disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. Our waitress Tyler though was amazing.

The Continental is part of the D'Amico family owned restaurants. They offer some fine dining along with outdoor Al Fresco atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is amazing and the food absolutely delicious. The menu has a a lot of great choices from fish, meat and pastas.

A beautiful restaurant run seamlessly by a team of pros! Tyler was just excellent and brought a genuine welcome and sense of hospitality. We wanted to catch the sunset on the beach so booked the early service at 5 - this offers a 3 course price fixe menu for the price of a main. The menu lists a strong lineup of steak and seafood plus a stunning crab soufflé. Serious talent in the kitchen and they source top notch ingredients. Solid selection of wines by the glass and interesting mock & cocktails. And the sunset was simply magical. I can’t wait to do it all over again.

The food was absolutely delicious - but the service in this beautiful restaurant is fabulous. We were greeted by a friendly, smiling staff and this service continued while we dined. From our very knowledgeable waiter to the staff that refilled our water and cleared our table, everyone was so nice and friendly. I had the Bronzino and it was cooked to perfection.Vegetarian options: Salad and lots of side veggie dishesParking: The closest parking is street parking which at dinner time can be difficult to find

I really hate doing this but I feel we got scammed into coming back. Rewind to New Year's Eve this past year, and my wife and I had made reservations for 9:15 that night. I really wanted to surprise my wife and take her out for a wonderful evening. We have a special needs son and and are very busy people (like most of us) so it was nice to have a night to ourselves. I am always early so we got to the Continental at about 8:45. I had no expectations of getting seated early but just let the hostess know we were there for our 9:15.9:15, came and went, so did 9:30, 9;45, and 10pm. It was coming up on 10:15, an hour after our reservations and I went to the front desk to ask how much longer. All the hostesses and one manager said they really could not tell me. I said if we cannot get a table within the next 15 minutes I'd have to cancel our reservations and would really be upset since it is New Years Eve and not sure where we could now go last minute. The manager said, sorry that is up to you. So we cancelled. Thankfully Campiello's had a one table and really took care of us that night.Fast-forward a week later, I receive a voicemail from a manager (who I will not name) who was sincerely apologetic on my voicemail stating that The Continental does not do business like that and that they wanted to 'make it right' for us. I then proceeded to have a text communication with the manager stating that we actually would be back in Naples in March with our brother-in-law and sister-in-law and would consider coming back to The Continental for dinner. he had said that they would love to have us, would make our reservations and looking forward to making this right. So this past Thursday we had reservations at The Continental. Driving to the place I said, "Look, I do not know what 'Make this Right' means, but we will have to see". Maybe it will be a free dessert, a free drink, maybe a face-to-face apology from management, not sure.We had a lovely dinner, food was fabulous, service was great, however, I must say I felt taken advantage of. No one acknowledged us as the people they were trying to 'make it right' for. Nothing. After our $500.00 experience I felt like we were shammed into coming back to spend the money we were supposed to spend on NYE. My wife said she feels like she was taken advantage of.I guess I should have asked what 'make this right' meant. If it meant, we will honor your reservation time this time, well congrats, you did it.Finally to add, I know it has only been 4 days but I texted the manager again afterwards to say how upset we were that we did not even get an acknowledgement from any manager there regarding the previous situation we had and I have not received a response. I will take into account that maybe he is unable to respond, but I did end my message by saying that we visit Naples about 3-4 times a year, always loved stopping at the restaurant for meals, desserts or just drinks, but The Continental has unfortunately just lost some patrons. It's a shame y'all are in the food business and not the people business.
