We had a large group and were seated quickly. Our server was very slow, we sat after getting our drinks for quite a while waiting to order. Appetizers came quickly, we didn't see the waitress for quite a long time after that. Appetizers were all gone and we still waited. She finally took our order and the food cane quickly after that.Everything was great except the Cuban sandwich. It had very little flavor and the break seemed old.The atmosphere is very tropical, it's very very loud near the bar but it was a very fun dinner experience overall!

100% worth the trip! We got there before the dinner rush and only had to wait 10 minutes. The waiting area by the bar is very comfortable and is covered by umbrellas, so we didn’t mind waiting! Recommend popping in the gift shop while you wait. We got seated at a table right on the water. Our waitress Kenzie was amazing! When the food came out, we were amazed with the large portions and taste. You will not regret the onion rings!Overall, the food, service, atmosphere were all unbeatable! Thank you, Island Gypsy Cafe & Marina Bar. Can’t wait for the next visit!

Super solid water front spot. Be warned, it’s always busy but it’s worth it and the food and service surprisingly don’t suffer. Pro tip - don’t go right before sunset.Food wise, the coconut shrimp was super solid. The blackened grouper sando lives up to the hype. We got the mahi tacos and they were good but they just had too much meat (I know, I know - how dare I say such a thing) and wish there had just been more veggies accompanying it.

Always a good time at Island Gypsy. The only thing to be aware of is there strong drinks and long lines for a table. I can't tell you how many times we have waited an hour for a table. Great food and great atmosphere. While you are waiting get a Crazy Cuban drink and sip on it.Lobster roll rating. If you follow my lobster roll ratings, I unfortunately have to give this one the worst lobster roll award so far. I give it a 2/10. It had no flavor. Bread was no good and I honeslty don't know if it's real lobster. Just save your money on the lobster roll and buy the one at their sister company in Naples called Hog Fish Harry's.If you get cold they even have a gift shop so you can buy a sweat shirt with their logo. How thoughtful of them.The servers are always fast and friendly even when they are jammed full of customers.Also don't forget thier amazing carrot cake for dessert. You will not regret it.Parking: The lot across the street is where people park when the main lot gets full. It's grass so be prepared.

I have been here several times. The outdoor atmosphere is a good vibe located right next to the water. The drinks are good, and also the seafood on the menu. I would pass on the ribs they are very fatty and gave me heartburn. Rolaids to the rescue!

First of all, the location has a cool keys vibe.Went alone for just something quick and close by, because I was picking up a car right down the street. But It turned out to be a really excellent meal, with great service. I went on a Friday night by myself. Not a seat at the bar, so I waited for a table. I didn't want to hold it up too long tho, the server was efficient and knowledgeable about what I should get. Will definitely be back.

We ate their today. I ordered the macadamia nut encrusted Mahi Mahi. It was served with rice and asparagus. I was very disappointed - the food was not warm, and the Mahi Mahi was very dry.
