Of the two times I've tried Kava bars, this location was the worst experience. The "Kavatender" was uninterested, rude, and her partner only made an appearance at the register when she didn't know how to issue a refund. If this is what Kava "Culture" is, then I'll never step foot in here again.The beverage itself was absolutely horrendous. The moment it touched my tongue my tongue was coated in an almost acidic substance which I spit out instantly. I'd rather drink hard liquor which would be more pleasant and less money.The bar itself was filled with people as equally uninterested as the lady at the counter. This is not a social lounge. This is a lounge for anti-socials to sit down and play World of Warcraft while staring at their phone screens for hours.As someone who's worked in the service industry for years, please understand that the current staff and customers will not make you feel welcomed and you will have wasted 15$ on the nastiest beverage you've ever consumed.

This place kinda sucks. As a regular kratom drinker, I love exploring new places and their atmospheres however out of the 3 times I've come here, only 1 experience was good. the Last time I went in, i went with a friend and the kavatender knew she was new to the kava experience as she asked "what's the difference between kava and kratom" and the girl just kind of mumbled something about the menu. I tried the kava and I remembered why I preferred kratom however when my friend didn't like the kava, we asked for refunds and were met with such a heavy attitude and stinky eye from this girl. I took 1 sip more than my friend as I thought maybe I could force the kava down but the girl just said "next time bring your drink back before u drink it if you don't like it", so how am I supposed to know I don't like it if I don't try it?? as food service workers and a barista myself it's understandable her frustration however there was no reason to also speak about us to the rest of her friends that were sitting at the bar. The last time I went, the guy working was much kinder and open to answering our questions (his name was Alex? And was eager to teach everyone about the drinks and deals that occurred throughout the night) however, when we asked for the bill he mentioned they prohibit vaping inside the store despite his friends sitting next to us literally vaping and vapes on the table. It definitely felt a little weird since it was kind of unfair that he turned a blind eye to his friends but didn't bother to mention this new rule the entire time that we were there. anyway so if the kavatender is a girl with long dark hair and a nasty attitude, look up any of your questions on Google because she was honestly such a horrible experience to kava and I've never had such a negative experience with kavatenders!! honestly with my bad experiences here I'd rather go someplace else with people who actually enjoy their jobs and teach people about drinks because it really isn't that hard to be kind to new people.
