We came to the restaurant about one month ago at the “Happy hour” not because we want do so, just it was lunch time and we liked the reviews. They have special menu for that specific time and the food was mediocre, just onion soup was delicious. I would not recommend to use this place at the “special”

Once we get off the plane we go to lunch at The French and it never disappoints. The French dip sandwich is a national treasure in France and Naples FL, seriously this sandwich is the real deal!! Suzy-the bartender, if you sit at the bar is so nice and she really is a perfectionist from answering questions on the menu to crafting cocktails and overall a really nice person. She along with the waitstaff make this a place to visit. We were here for four full days and we went here for lunch three times. So goooooood!! Thank you

It's impossible to review a restaurant without taking value into account: generally, the higher the price, the higher our expectations. This calculation is distorted in Naples, especially for those restaurants like this one on Fifth Avenue. In most settings a $50 entree would signal something special; here it's normal.Having said that, despite its prices, The French never does better than average. The server has to read the specials from their phone and then can't tell you what a sauce is made of; atmosphere is sidewalk patio; the food is quite good but nothing to distinguish the restaurant from a run of the mill French restaurant that you can find in every city in the country. And there is not a single vegetarian option: in 2024 seems like they're making some kind of weird point with that.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The French. From the moment we were greeted, drink recommendations from our server, the food was top notch & still dreaming of Frenchie Fried chicken we had! My husband had the Steak Frites and said it was perfectly prepared.This is such a special restaurant. The hospitality was unmatched & we are looking forward to dining at their sister restaurant.This is a must go spot! Date night, special occasion, or just a night out!

We are regulars at the French and have always been extremely pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. The food is consistent and alway comes out hot. The staff is friendly (managers always around checking on tables and speaking with guests) and they have a great wine list. Definitely a place to visit for brunch or for dinner. Keep up the great work French!
