Oh my. Majority of menu is fried, appears all seafood is frozen. Ordered steamed clams, inedible, dried out. My wife ordered group nuggets, where’s the grouper, all breading. Manhattan clam chowder could not have been homemade. Perhaps we just ordered incorrect menu items. We left our food on the table.

Never had the chance to try the food! Very disappointed to walk in at 7:45p tonight, they close at 8p to order take out to be told by a guy…maybe the cook??? they are closed for the night! What? Wait….but your website and sign out front states OPEN till 8!!! That means OPEN till 8!!!!’ For this reason, we won’t be back….

Nice family owned restaurant! Everyone is so nice and the food was great! You have to try the hush puppies
First, I would like to say that the food was great. It reminded me of back home. It is a hidden gem. The only downside was lack of preparation on staffing and handling a busy ‘Good Friday’. The place was crowded and with good reason. Although I understood the reason for the delay with ordering take out and I get it was super busy, just wasn’t happy with the atmosphere. I will give the place another try though.

OMG !! Fish as fresh as you can get it...unless you're a pelican!!
I believe they changed food distributor,because I really did use to enjoy their fried seafood, but this time it just tasted like frozen seafood you buy from your local supermarket . My flounder tasted and looked like Tilapia , the Scallops was just a little watery fried something, my shrimp had a hard batter on them .I did enjoy my bean salad

So the fish dinner take out was not as good as I expected. This place is always slammed during lent, but to be honest, the haddock dinners were more like fancy fish sticks than a slab of fish I expected.The real draw here is the Clam Chowder!Especially Manhattan Clam chowder (which you can't normally find elsewhere) the owner is a very personable and friendly gent, who always has a story to tell. The restaurant is a down home little place reminiscent of a cozy old fish house on the river. It's a great place, but as far as regular fish dinners... Go for the stone crab, shrimp, chowders, pass on haddock (maybe ours were less than expected because I couldn't get them till end of the day), We'll give it another shot and adjust review if needed.All in all, a great restaurant!
