Unfortunately, our experience was not what we expected. This place is now known as D'Amore's, and it is beautiful. Only a handful of tables, awesome ambience, great looking menu. We were excited. Started with the Cesar salad. Oof. It was different, but we were still jovial. Lots of garlic. I mean, lots. That's OK. We like garlic. My husband had the sea bass as his entrée. Sea bass is one of his favorites. It was the texture of rubber and didn't taste good at all. I had the rack of lamb, ordered mid rare. Lamb is one of my favorites. It is supposed to be tender and delicious. It was not. It was undercooked and had no flavor. Yes, undercooked. Yes, I ordered mid rare. Yes, I know what that is supposed to be and this was undercooked. The kids had spaghetti. That was good. It's hard to mess up spaghetti. It's not an inexpensive place, which we do not mind, it's just disappointing to spend that much and not be satisfied. My husband had wanted to go to The Garlic. I didn't want to wait. Next time, we go to The Garlic and wait, because we know the food will be divine. This was awful, I'm very sorry to say.

I had the linguini with clams red sauce spicy-I have eaten this in NYC and SF and I would say this is probably the best version I have ever had-clams in the sauce and fresh clams(in shell) in abundance on top of the pasta-top notch

Where to begin? It's a small establishment to be sure, but that only adds to the atmosphere. A bigger venue would only feel less inviting. As it is, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The bathroom was spotless. The wait staff is attentive and friendly without feeling cloying or pushy. They never made us feel like they were trying to clear a table for the next guests. If that weren't enough, the food is incredible. The crepe lasagna is now one of the top three meals I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. It was tender and flavorful without being soupy or turning into mush, as so many lasagnas do. I will point out that our food took a while, however in this case that's not a downside. This restaurant is the kind of place you go for a proper multi course dinner, not an eatery that tries to serve as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. It never felt as though we were waiting our food, it felt as if they were waiting for us to be ready for the next course. It is overall, friendly, welcoming, and serves absolutely outstanding food.On the five-star Google scale, this place is a 10 out of 10. Absolutely outstanding job and I thank you for the experience.

Our first dinner in New Smyrna was fantastic. Our server, Anastasia, was top notch with service and genuinely loves this restaurant. Food was delicious as you can see from the photo great portions.. we didn’t have room for dessert but they make their own and it looked decadent; turtle cheesecake and saw a huge tiramisu; Very accommodating to all patrons requests ie wine selection, meal specials… I think we’ll have to go back !!! Thanks for a wonderful first night.

New name, new ownership....D'Amores Ristorante...Went for Mother's Day dinner, had the lobster ravioli and hubby had the rack of lamb! Food was phenomenal! Outstanding quality and portion size for the price! We will definitely be going back! Highly recommend!

New owner ship and new name. D'Amores Ristorante. Went late on Mother's Day with my wife. Lobster ravioli came with a lobster tail. Fresh made ravioli excellent flavor in the sauce. The lamb chops and Brussels sprouts were also excellent. Indoor or sidewalk dinning available. Great family and locally owned Italian restaurant. Check it out next time you are on Flagler ave in NSB!

Great Italian cuisine. Pleasant beachside atmosphere. Crab cakes are delicious! Rigatoni with Italian sausage is fab.

We are locals and always had good meals and service. We heard it was under new ownership and decided to give it a try. Disappointing is the only word I can say to be nice. Service was excellent but the “special” wahoo was extremely dry and zuppa was over cooked after waiting 90 minutes for dinner. Not worth the money, we will never go back!

Horrible service. New owners. How do you spell bankrupt.? Server sitting down while we wait and wait and wait. Really ?

Had a delicious meal. Good drinks. As we were finishing our wine the waitress informed us that someone else was waiting for our table! I have never had that happen! We were there for about an hour which is not a long time for drinks and dinner at a good restaurant. We won’t be back, and it has been our favorite restaurant for a very very long time.

The best food, the best family, what else could you ask for ? Can’t wait for our wine bar to open up next door.

I think the menu is a bit dated. The lasagna and the salmon are perfect. The bread served is crap.

The new owners have done an excellent job of maintaining the menu and quality. Specials are always good and a varied selection. The menu has great selections also. My favorites … SeaBass, Chicken Fresca, Filet, and the Bruchetta Pizza is delicious My wife’s favorite is the crab cake. They have also changed the decor, which is fresh and inviting.

Wow! I'm writing the review the next morning while drinking coffee and eating my lemon cheesecake. We stopped in after golf and enjoyed an amazing meal Chilean Seabass, lasagne made with creeps, Italian spaghetti and sauce. Restaurant is quaint, servers are attentive and food is amazing. I'm so glad I brought dessert home because I do not need to share my cheesecake. Wonderful!!
