Breakfast outdoors under the Live Oak was excellent. I had the count of money Cristo with potatoes, and my friend got an omelette. Our food was excellent— even the toast was great, hot and buttered, and perfectly toasted— and I felt the menu was a good mix of traditional breakfast food with a few interesting flourishes.

Its vibrant beach ambiance pairs perfectly with their exceptional veggie omelette—they so have one of the best crispy yet fluffy pancake that's simply irresistible. The service is so pleasant & friendly and they seem to want to ensure a memorable experience with answers to all my dumb questions.Arrive early to secure a table, as this place tends to fill up quickly. Was their for the first time allways drive by on the way to the dog beach se it’s jam packed at lunch time glad I did finally stopped in with my dog Brady and my mom and dad not only are they dog friendly they provide your four legged friend doggie bacon the food is 5 star quality the best corn beef hash in Sarasota county I can tell it’s homemade the best grits and the raisin toast is good and they even have siracha sauce and Rihanna the server was awesome we will definitely come back and ask to be seated at one of Rihanna’s table I highly recommend the breakfast cottage and Rihanna as a server!!!

We waited 45 minutes and never got seated. We needed to sit on the patio because we had our pup with us. They kept telling me they were clearing off tables. (The patio was on the other side of the building so we couldn't see it). We decided to leave and went to our vehicle which was near the patio. Low and behold, all of the tables on the patio except one were empty! Not a good experience.

Got the corn beef hash Benedict...the hash was over cooked until it was black on both sides.. the only part of the dish that you would want to eat was the potatoes...

We had another great visit to The Breakfast Cottage. I had the opportunity to catch up with a friend, visiting from Maryland, so we picked this as a "place in the middle" of the two of us. The service was great, the food was awesome and the prices are very reasonable. We didn't feel rushed, enjoyed our breakfast and our chat. If you are in the Nokomis FL area looking for breakfast or lunch we highly recommend that you visit The Breakfast Cottage!!!
