We were in the area and hungry. When we're like that, we usually want bar food and beer. Big Dog Station was that place. We opted to sit outside as the inside was more divey than we wanted. It was the day of an annual chili cookoff so it made the experience better. Beer selection was limited but it was cold. Food was bar food and hit the spot, though nothing was exceptional. What was exceptional was the service and the people. The young lady who helped us was a charm but this also seemed like a genuine locals place. Even though we're 15 mins from here, we weren't local enough! I could see this being the place I'd go to if I lived close by. Regardless, it's definitely worth a stop.

We went to Big Dog Station last night as a group of 14 college students visiting Wilton Manors for spring break. We came around 9:40 and the kitchen was closed already but they went ahead and reopened it for us and took all of our drink and food orders very quickly. Scotty was our bartender and was the BEST bartender we have ever had. He was giving us advice for where to go for the rest of the week that we are here and the service was just absolutely amazing. The food was GREAT and it was pretty cheap too. We are so glad we stumbled upon Big Dog Station, it was probably the most fun we will have and the best service we will experience for the rest of the trip! They also had really nice outdoor seating and free pool outside!

Walked in there today with my family to give this place a try and walked into the bar area looking to see where we could be seated and was totally ignored by the relic of the female bartender and everyone sitting at the bar looked they had just finished there last rehab stint. The place was dirty and no one came out to the outside sitting area to see if we needed anything. Needless to say I won’t ever be going back nor recommending this S-hole.

I’m an industry dude from PA, visiting Florida for the week. Today I woke up with a ruthless hangover and was in need of some good bar food for my 6pm lunch. I found this gem on a thing called the internet. Scott and Cassie were behind the bar and they treated me like an old buddy. Some of the regulars sat and talked with me too. How else would I know that Ken hates onions and is scared of dogs?The food was exactly what I wanted and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The banter in this joint was comedic gold too. If you are a fan of places with that “neighborhood bar” vibe, here ya go!

This is a great little neighborhood bar, it has both indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are always welcome, smoking is permitted outside, there is a pool table, pinball machine and darts. The employees here are always welcoming and friendly, there is a great selection of quality bar food.

I was here tonight where a lady didn't like her food. I watched the owner and bartender try to resolve the issue immediately for her, with professionalism and pose. The food I had was incredible, not sure what she had. But all I know is, if I was them, I wouldn't have maintained my composure for nearly as long. It was my first time here, and definitely seemed like a stray crazy person on Christmas evening. Pricing is fair and low, ambiance is very family oriented, like a strong community. Fantastic northern bar. A gem for the south Florida community.
