Come for the chopped cheese/creative weekly meal special, and happy hour deals, and stay for the original punk/rock/hardcore/folk or whatever live original music is booked. Shows are typically either free or have a very reasonable cover ($5... sometimes more if it's a bigger act). Oh and the happy hour specials I touched on above... Mutiny has the cheapest happy hour well pours this side of 441 ($3). Service is always efficient and friendly. Mutiny is my go to watering hole in Ocala.

The unnecessarily tall man hit me with a rubber band and it made my experience here that much better. Phenomenal.

Holy cow did we not leave a review for this place? We were intent on doing some day drinking and wound up here. The bartender was playing slightly stoopid radio and when we walked in Stick Figure was on so yeah, we found our place. This is a pirate bar, so youve been warned. We normally hit the tiki place next door and Mutiny is pretty loud and rowdy when we pass by. Lunch and early afternoon when we were there was pretty low key. We drank some dark and stormys, listened to some gnarly tunes and pestered the bartender about this and that, bands and the local music scene, and chilled for awhile. I have to point out the bartender does not always play calireggae music, its just what happened to be on. Well I think they should! This bar is not for everybody, it is a pirate bar, and should be approached as such. I would not hesitate to come back and i certainly would recommend this joint to my friends

The most genuine people you'll ever meet!! Lots of live music ?

I come to this bar many times over the years, but for some reason the bouncer on January 27th was rude and belittled my entire group as we went inside. I was excited to show my out of town friends this bar and the live show, but the bouncer soured the mood of half the group. Very disappointed.

Love it! Great vibe. Fun crowd. Playing alt / indie Christmas music was the best! Patrons dressed accordingly in Santa suits. A great night!

Big bar, friendly bartender, pet friendly, and cold St. Bernaudus in the bottle what else could you ask for.

Very cool bar and hang out spot in downtown Ocala. I loved the overall vibe (murals, stickers everywhere, punk music playing). The food was awesome. I enjoyed the Chicago dog and potato salad. I would love to see a veggie or vegan hot dog as a future menu option.

We had our wedding in Ocala, and when we were planning everything, we really wanted somewhere to chill and take the edge off the night before. When scouting venues, we came across this great little bar with awesome music playing, and after a great conversation with the bartender, we decided to see if we could book a show for the day before our wedding. The bar owners were so accommodating and easy to work with, they booked our friend's band, and two other really cool bands, and all of our friends had such a great time rocking out, dancing, singing, and of course drinking, the night before our wedding. We were all from out of town and loved to have a venue that felt like home. We liked it so much, we came back to after-party around midnight after our wedding the next night. We miss having punk/metal bars like this in the Tampa area, so I suppose Mutiny is our new home away from home!

I was at a Harley party, the music was ok, but I needed more. I went to this bar and the music was what I needed. I loved everything about it. The service was better than good. The young folks were getting into it. I wish I was young again. But I can still enjoy it. And I do.

A few times I went to see some live music and the bar was immaculate. Clean and efficient, but not for someone who wants to sit at the bar on a Friday night. I asked the bartender to watch my drink while I went to the bathroom. Although she was not very busy at the bar, she first said, "I can't guarantee anything". I've managed a bar before. It's not that hard to watch someone's drink especially when they are tipping 50%. I'd need a little better service to give 5 stars in that department. Amazing live music, good drinks and one of the coolest places in Ocala. Visit if given a chance, the Mutiny theme is fun, too. ?‍☠️

We briefly visited Munity in Ocala and were happily surprised! Inside the décor is dark, gritty, pirate like, set for Halloween year around. There are a couple of tables outside for those who prefer fresh air. The relaxed atmosphere quickly changes to electrifying as the night and the music starts. The staff is friendly, offering great service even when packed. Their menu has a great selection of hot dogs which we will definitely partake next time. Their signature cocktails are imaginative and reasonable priced. I particularly enjoyed Overboard- (love anything with rum!) but will absolutely come back to try the Pineapple Marlot Cake!We ordered a couple of drinks and tried their version of Nachos/topped with chicken, (very filling and fresh) while enjoying their live music. On this Saturday night, these incredible bands were playing, The Scream Queens, High Dose Band, Los Malditos Punks, and The Dunzos. While we left early due to our long commute back home, we did so happy and feeling we will be back soon!

This bar is definitely something different and not your average dive bar. But that's what makes it so great! Ocala needed something like this for so long! I had the drink special of a PBR & shot of bourbon which was great! Didn't get a cocktail but I would in a heartbeat, the bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. The pirate/emo/punk rock vibe is on point and makes this bar stand out. I'd definitely check it out if you're into any punk/emo/metal music! I noticed that they also serve food, they have a menu of hotdogs and hoagies. Also didn't try but I will when I go back!
