July 6th was our anniversary and as a special treat I told my husband I would take him to Sky Fine Dinning and we would have appetizer, drinks, filet mignon and a shared desert with coffee to top it off. Told all of our friends this is how we were going to celebrate our 32nd year. Looked the menu on line, called all day long trying to get a reservation but the message was always "that mailbox is full". Called the hotel reservation desk and asked them to put me through to the restaurant - they did "that mailbox is full". Since we couldn't make contact got dressed up and drive to the restaurant. Arrived, went into the hotel and was told the restaurant is closed for renovation. Why was this not posted on the website, why was it not stated on the phone message? Very poor communication. Thanks for ruining my anniversary night. Consolation is that we got a very good filet at Outback - perhaps better that what Sky would have served.

It's been closed for over a month due to covid.

Ada the hostess is the rudest person we've met in Florida. She was rude from the moment we walked up to the hostess stand. We will not dine here again and we are staying at the hotel and this is a very convenient place to eat. We asked for a critique of the restaurant and she ignored that request. On the other hand Kenny our waiter did a marvelous job.We dine frequently from NYC to Florida and the food here is fair. This is the only disappointment we've had during our stay in Ocala.

First visit there and ordered Surf and Turf. Filet had grizzled in it and was served a little better than warm. The lobster tail was also a little better than warm. Vegetables were good. Ordered a house rum and coke and they upgraded to Captain Morgan spice rum which I do not like. The cost for the drin was significantly higher. I would rather spend money T Mark's Prime or Ipanema. Been there 2 times.......first and last. Not impressed for the money.

Tonight was the 3rd time in 5 weeks we have gone to Sky Fine Dining. First two times were excellent in all categories. Tonight it was awful. They say they have a guest dress code, no ball caps. So why is the Hostess wearing a chucky doll t-shirt! It took forever to get waited on and we were 1 of 3 tables. Food was cold when served. Food was served and we had no silverware. We had to ask 3 different people to get us silverware which took forever to get. Making our already cold food even colder. We won't be back. Too bad because we it was such a great place to take out-of-town guest. That $100.00 we won't get back.

So, I really try to be as honest as possible when I review. I have never been and I have heard great things. Now after I visited recently with my beautiful girlfriend for our anniversary I can say we have experienced it. This place has been rated high and received many awards in the past. I’m afraid the prestige has withered away at this point. It was a later reservation in the evening but I definitely left feeling underwhelmed. Staff was friendly which is a plus. It was a limited menu which is understandable in this current climate. My issue is with overall food execution. We ordered the egg roll appetizer which was ok, nothing too exciting. Then we had special martinis from their menu which were hit and miss of the 4 we had. The entrees we had were orange chicken and Mongolian beef. In all honesty we both agreed the quality of the meat was fantastic yet the flavors were nothing more than what I would expect from a plaza Chinese food joint. Beef was soy sauce heavy being overwhelmingly salty. Orange chicken sauce actually worked well to cut down the salt and add the needed sweet/citrus flavors. The dessert was delicious and complementary for our anniversary which was a nice surprise.

We came here for an anniversary dinner. The drinks were wonderful, food was amazing, and the service was perfect!

My fiance and I were visiting her mother for the weekend and decided to go out to Sky Fine Dining. She ordered the Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection, the appetizers were amazing and the staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10 would go back in a heartbeat.

Im not really sure how this place has such good reviews. Maybe labor day weekend just wasn’t a good time to try them, but I ordered the orange chicken, beef spring rolls, and Caesar salad and was very disappointed. The beef spring rolls were very bland and the texture of the meat was spongey and strange. The orange chicken had a very strong white wine vinegar taste that kept both myself and my husband from eating it, and the Caesar salad was just leaves of lettuce with parmesan cheese on it. This was hands down the worst asian food I’ve ever eaten. I wound up tossing everything except the rice.

Kevin was our waiter and he made it a great night. He tended to all our needs and made our anniversary special, genuine spirit that always checked on us and was a great person. Would definitely recommend SKY and Kevin you want him

Awful service. Paper napkins and customers with graphic t-shirts is not fine dining.

Ordered stuffed lobster tails. They were good but not great. Side was Brussels sprouts with bacon. No bacon. Waiter didn't know what happened. He was not the best waiter. C- at best. Paper napkins is not my idea of fine dining. couple next to us had to send a steak back 2 times for being overdone. Had a plate that was scratched up. They brought us a bread pudding dessert because it was our anniversary but waiter said it was to make up for the no bacon. Won't be back.

This place used to be HIGH on my list when visiting Ocala, but... the last 2 experiences have been disappointing to say the least. 1st experience in July, upon entering was asked to take my hat off. What? Oh... you tryin to be boujee! Um... you're a hotel restaurant! So, we rolled out and grabbed dinner elsewhere!2nd experience, today, let's try room service! Ordered some of our old faves, General Tso's Chicken and Korean Red Chili Beef.General Tso's, I mean come on, how can you not get that right? Well... heavy handed on the soy sauce from best I could tell. It tasted NOTHING like it used to (back in the Chef Mike Hird days), and tasted NOTHING like any General Tso's I've ever had! Korean Red Chili Beef? Well let's just say it was beef jerky with sauce, and again NOTHING like it used to be.Needless to say, done. Way too many food choices in Ocala to waste time here.Maybe the chef focuses on the other food like steaks and seafood, but then again I was under the impression this was still an Asian Fusion joint.
