I was very disappointed today. I went in with my family for my father’s birthday breakfast. Waste of 30 minutes. Waiter never took our order. The grills were off but nobody told us until we left. Be courteous to my time as I am courteous to your time. Very very disappointed to have to change my positive review. Don’t be sneaky to your customers be honest when we WALK IN TELL US YOUR GRILL IS BROKEN SO I CAN GO SOMEWHERE THAT IS NOT

****Please Please read this review****I was interested in trying this diner for a while now being a small mom and pop restaurant. I love to support the local family owned businesses. There were several issues with my visit to Carlos Diner, however the most important one is below. The kitchen is right in front of the bar so it’s open and visible to most of the customers. It would only make sense to have a clean and sanitary environment…I’ve never in my life seen the things I saw the other day.The woman who controls the food as it goes out does not wear gloves, in fact I only saw 1 person wearing gloves but it wouldn’t have mattered. The woman with the ponytail who was in charge of getting the food out was literally rubbing her nose, face, ears and mouth while touching EVERYTHING. I watched this person grab white bread over her head just after rubbing her nose with her fingers. I watched people eating in the kitchen while cooking. I saw kitchen staff tossing food onto plates to complete orders touching meats, etc with bare hands. I’m sure most restaurants have sanitary issues but I’m not used to seeing it so openly. I watched the other cook with the Nickelodeon shirt touching his hair and clothing while cooking with guess what no gloves.I thankfully ordered items that were not touched and had to be plated with utensils. The food was mediocre at best and I would have killed for a McDonald’s breakfast, in fact after I left I went and stopped by to eat something else for breakfast at a different restaurant. The quality of the food was incredibly low. I could see generic store bought pancake mix on a back shelf. How do you advertise yourself has a homemade family restaurant but cannot make your own pancake mix. The sausage gravy cannot be homemade, there is no way possible. If it is homemade then I guess I’m a better cook than I thought I was.Im sure most of the Loyal customers are happy with the food and I’m happy for them. I on the other hand like seasoning and cleanliness, so I will not be returning unless the world is ending and even then I’m good.Ohh and Please clean your coffee cups. The table next to me actually noticed pink lipstick on their cup but did not say anything.

I had family from out of state, we wanted something different from fast food, I didn't even know of Carlo's Diner, but they showed up under Google search. They were close to our house. We decided to give it a try. I have always tried to be the type to support the momma papa places. Wow, were we surprised? The service was fast, and food came out hot and tasty. I love chicken fried chicken in which is is a breaded breast of chicken served with white creamy gravy, similar to a country fried steak but without beef. The dinner or lunch is not a menu item but the server told be anytime I want it or anything else not exactly on the menu, he said they would be more then happy to prepare something as close to it as they can. Now that's great customer service. Most of the time, all you hear is the two letter word, NOWheelchair accessibility: We had two wheel chairs, with no issues.

Found this place by chance. The food was great and so was the service. Got the Carlos Combo, which was two eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links and biscuit w gravy. The price was under $9. The place was packed all three days I went there for breakfast when I was in town. Alexandra, my server was really
