My friends and I decided to try this place, since it was new to us. First, the food is acceptable, but the portions are small. I would equate the portion we got to a kids meal size. Pasta is an inexpensive item, why be so stingy?Second, there is no service. You pick your own table, give your order to the cashier, and get your own drink. The only 'service' is the kitchen does cook the food and brings it out to you. A minimum tip of 15% was still on the credit card machine.The only reason I gave this place two stars, is that the food was tasty. However, $30 for a chicken parmesan and drink, being such a small portion had no value to me and we will not return.

I hadn't anticipated enjoying this place much, given the lukewarm reviews circulating. To my surprise, the food surpassed my expectations. While not exceptional, it certainly wasn't disappointing.However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the ordering and seating arrangements. As a first-time visitor, navigating the process was overwhelming and not intuitive.Who knew you had to grab a menu off the wall then uncomfortably glance at it before walking down the opposite end of the restaurant just to order. For the price of the food it's just not worth it.The absence of clear instructions made it challenging, particularly for larger groups without available seating.While the open kitchen was a nice touch, it revealed a concerning practice. I observed staff, including management, handling food without washing their hands after tasks such as clearing tables and cleaning. Witnessing this was unsettling and raised hygiene concerns.Furthermore, I advise against leaving half-eaten food unattended, as it may be mistakenly discarded. I was shocked to return from retrieving dessert for my goddaughter to find our table cleared, with our food discarded.Though management apologized and offered to remake our meal, the subsequent service fell short. The replacement order arrived incomplete and did not match our original selections.While the gesture to remake the meal was appreciated, it was marred by the oversight in fulfilling the order correctly. This experience left a lasting negative impression, likely deterring future visits.

I ordered our food to go through DoorDash. I’ll start by saying the service was great. Everything we ordered was there and the place looked clean. However the taste of the food was subpar. Everything kept decent temperature considering it wasn’t consumed there but nothing was “great”. For the price point (being comparable to Carabas on pricing for our meal) it was infact disappointing in flavor. We ordered shrimp scampi, chicken piccata, and an Italian salad. The salad was acceptable but the other two dishes had very little flavor and the portions were small.I had considered if the flavor would have been better had we dined in, and ate it hotter - but I don’t think so. Had the prices been better, I probably would have given this a 4. But I could have spent the same at Carabbas or Olive Garden and enjoyed the food much more.

My Wife and I just had lunch at Mandolas on Tampa Rd. In Oldsmar. The lunch was Excellent and the Staff and Atmosphere was terrific! Teresea one of the Managers went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that we had the best experience possible! We would highly recommend Mandolas to anyone wanting to have a Great experience!
