“Treated myself to a lunch this beautiful Friday after having a few great days of work. I chose the steak chimmy taco and a chicky baby taco alongside a curry chicken empanada. I really enjoy the tacos here. They're simple and tasty and today I paired my lunch with a Fishweir Brewing Lazy River Pilsner. The young lady at the bar was very friendly and attentive. I liked her personality. I don't come here often enough, but maybe I need to.“
“We came here for a late lunch a few weeks ago and thought the food was great. The service was a bit slow in the beginning. It was “Seat Yourself” seating and took a while for someone to come over and acknowledge us and ask what we want to drink. Everything was fine after that. We’ll be back!“

“I am from Tucson, Arizona which has just been voted number one as a city for having fantastic Mexican food. Tucson is very close to the border of Mexico and the Mexican food is exquisite. I have gone to many Mexican restaurants here, because I miss the food so much, and nothing tastes like Sonoran Mexican food as La Nopalera does. I went to lunch the other day and my server was a man by the name of Oscar. The food was beyond perfect, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and the ambiance was wonderful! I loved every second of my lunch and my visit to this restaurant and will go back again and again. This is true Sonoran-style Mexican food!!! Thank you, Oscar, and La Nopalera!!!“
“Really great casual lunch spot. They have a variety of options on the menu that are vegetarian, pescatarian, and vegan friendly, and they allow you to customize your order. The food came out hot and fresh, and was very filling. I customized the Blackened shrimp burrito and I could taste the quality ingredients they used and how exceptionally flavorful it was. The interior is very clean as were the bathrooms. It gets very busy- they open at 11 and the noon lunch crowd gathered quickly. There is 2 hour street parking directly across the restaurant.“
“Wow I really liked this place! It had it all for me, the location is great sitting out on the patio right near the water, perfect weather! Our server was excellent! She handled our large group with no problems, split the checks easy peasy! Lastly the food! I thought it was really good! Like real food, the smoked wings were big and tasted great... the jalapeno poppers were delicious wrapped in bacon and smoked! I tasted a bite of flautas delicious! Would love to return!“
“Enjoyed the food much better than the last time o ate at this particular Tijuana Flats. The chicken/shrimp tacos were flavorful and piled on. The service was quick and efficient and given with a smile. Atmosphere was average but what do you expect for a lunch meal on Tuesday afternoon?“
“Always hit this location for our Mexican Food fix, and they never disappoint! The food is excellent and the staff is always courteous. Consistency is the word that comes to mind when describing this La Nopalera restaurant, as I always order the same dish, and it's awesome every time. We are partial to this particular location, although they have several other locations in Jacksonville.“

The place wasn't busy so I'm not quite sure why he didn't have time to wait on us? The soup was barely there because it was full of cheese & chip toppings. The entree was fine. “First time eating that chili ever in life and I had more ups than actually downs first things first our server was really kind and nice very knowledgeable of what they serve. I tried the chicken quesadilla and we also had the five sampler appetizer, which was so delicious especially the cheese sticks which were huge! I also had the presidente margarita, and I only have one complaint I just wish when they serve that drink that they put a little bit of ice in the actual shake container, and most of the ice in the glass, because it seem like both of them were filled with ice more ice that I’m used to. Other than that the food came out quick. My company enjoyed her cheeseburger and fries and I actually enjoyed my chicken quesadillas so I will be returning to maybe try more things.“
