Had a fabulous dinner here recently! We had a great dining experience! Both of our dinners were so delicious!! I got the prime rib and my husband got the shrimp New Orleans! They came with a side salad and warm rolls. It’s a very beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere! Our waiter was so attentive and the service all from all of the staff was great too! Next time I’m in Jacksonville I will be sure to visit again!

The commemoration of the death of Christ was the event we celebrated at the Hilltop, there was no room for more people... it was wonderful to see the increase in people who are interested in spiritual matters... fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.

Had an early dinner. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is rich old southern, very nice. The food was amazing. We started with fried green tomatoes, large portion, cooked great and tasted wonderful. My wife had salmon and she said it was very good. I had assorted veggies. The potato was cooked just right and the zucchini was grilled perfect. We both had garden salads, her's had raspberry dressing, mine balsamic vinaigrette. The salads were tasty and good sized. Best part of the dinner was the service, very attentive and polite staff.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options. Ordered off of the sides menu.

Absolutely disappointed in the service and the food. My husband and I were so excited to spend Valentines Day Dinner in a place that we grew up loving, only to be let down on so many levels. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and we were immediately started at our table (best and only good part of the night). It took the staff 20 minutes to acknowledge us and bring a glass of water. They continuously walked by us and even looked at us, but nothing. The young lady finally came over and took our order. The shared appetizer was room temperature and stale. We attempted to order a glass of wine, but our server was nowhere to be found. So my husband walked to the bar TWICE! After waiting 10 minutes for the bartender to come back he was finally able to order a glass of wine. Next: Entree round…oof…I had the filet (ordered medium) and my husband had the duck. My steak was hot, but prepared rare (ok, I can deal with that), but somehow difficult to cut. My husband duck was well done and somehow the skin was slimy and rubbery. My mashed potatoes were instant and tasted like fish. Needless to say we did not eat it and set the plates at the end of the table. A young lady asked if we needed boxes and we said absolutely not. We would have sent it back, but our server was again nowhere to be found. Dessert: I’m pretty certain it came from Costco or Sam’s. Our Bill: $190.00 (not including the wine that we had to walk to the bar to get…or the tip)…we left completely disappointed…it’s Valentine’s Day! One of the biggest romantic dinner nights of the year and we wanted to experience the nostalgia of what used to be a clay country icon.

Salad was a lot of dressing and little actual salad. 3 rolls for a table of 2? Duck way over cooked, steak way under cooked. Dessert was a slice of cosco cheesecake. Best part of the meal was the wine, which I had to go get myself because the waitress was none existent. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Worst experience we've ever had
