The food is worse than most quick service meals we had. My family of 5 ate there for $400 after tip. We at at Flame Tree and Harbor House for less than $55. It would have to be about meeting the princesses (there were a whopping 5 and not even Anna and Elsa that did meet and greets in Norway), but even then, it is really not worth it. Plan ahead and get to the park early for meet and greets, or watch the clock to get to certain ones early. If you have multiple kids under 3 then yeah, worth it. If you have 1 child that is 6 and the rest are over 10 so adult priced, it is really not worth it. Overall, the absolute biggest regret of the trip. I really wish I had chosen Tuskar House breakfast for a meet and greet. Breakfast is cheaper anyway and the food is so much better.

Let me preface this review by saying this is more about an experience than the food. Our recent trip was kid centered and to a seven year old little girl what's better than a princess breakfast? We ate here back when it was a Norwegian smorgasbord and the cast members practically had to drag passerby tourists in to eat the many types of pickled fish they served. It definitely wasn't everyone's bag. But now it's a standard family style breakfast with vague nods to Norwegian cuisine. The banquet hall itself is beautiful and the kids were in awe. My DD was in awe of the servers and wondered out loud if everyone from Norway look like models. Carol-linne our server was in training with Olga supervising. Both were so sweet and friendly. After we ordered our beverages the first plate to the table was included pastries, crackers with meat and cheese and a fruit jam. They also brought a big bowl of fruit which the children loved. On this plate there was one slice of brown cheese called Gjetost. It was delicious! I have researched it and am happy to learn I can get it at Trader Joe's! The next plate had sausage links, bacon, potato casserole, scrambled eggs and heart shaped waffles that our server said were the best at WDW. All the food was good but sausage loving grandson thought the links were "too spicy". It was your basic breakfast fare. We were visited by four beautiful princesses: Snow White, Ariel, Belle and Rapunzel. Each was ushered into the hall with a fanfare and her own theme music, very exciting! They spent a few minutes at each table chatting (they seem to have several memorized patters but answered the kids questions). Even my 9 yo grandson enjoyed them. They signed autographs and let us take pictures. They also got a signed autograph graph postcard at the end. My cast member daughter had a 40% off dining coupon and our total bill was about $100 plus gratuity. Without the coupon it would have been over $200. Pretty steep for a basic breakfast but then again...Princesses. I would say we probably wouldn't go again unless a new granddaughter needs a princess breakfast.

Best breakfast ever!

I can't win with Akershus :( We found the dinner choices to be borderline inedible, so instead we tried the Princess Breakfast. It was family-style so we were excited but hardly any food was included in this "feast." However, if your kid wants to meet SEVERAL princesses, the breakfast will do it.

The food is overall very very good, and the meatballs stand out as the best part! Portions are very large, and the 2 of us had plenty of food leftover. Even without kids, it's a fun atmosphere and it's cool to see all of the princesses who are very excellent at staying in character. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us a lot of interesting info about Norway. It's very expensive... I would recommend doing it at least once, but we probably wouldn't make it a regular occurrence.

Some amazing food and kind people. Highly recommend. Don’t ask the princesses for their numbers though because they will reject you.Kid-friendliness: Will cater to needs.

What a wonderful surprise! A fantastic meal and a great time. I admit to being a little nervous about the menu (especially with a sorta picky kid). Some of the dishes sounded exotic and hard to imagine in advance, but whew! Everything was so so good! So good that I forgot to take pictures of the mains or dessert! So, only a picture of the appetizer and a cocktail, sorry. In addition to the great food, there are PRINCESSES! 5 of them! And they can vary. We got to meet Aurora, Belle, Snow White, Tiana and Ariel. The food was served family style and all you care to enjoy. Pictured are the Field Greens Salad with Lingonberry Vinaigrette and Lefse with Cardamom-Cinnamon Butter and a Blue Viking Cocktail. Other highlights are the Salmon with Herbed Butter, Traditional KjØttkake: Norwegian Meatballs, the Green Beans and the Red Cabbage.Be careful of the lights, they can mess with your camera.

This place feels like such a fun escape though the overall lighting is a bit dark. When we went, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Tiana and Snow White were there. They came very frequently, which was great but it does become a little difficult for your toddler today with so much excitement. Dinner came family style on a big plate. There were roll ups, salad, mac and cheese, green beans, salmon, meatballs, and soup. Dessert comprised of chocolate cake and a rice pudding. All of it was delicious. Such a fun experience.

Having switched from buffet to family style is all well and good and we've had other Disney family style restaurants before but felt that the variety served here was not worth the price charged for the restaurant. We enjoyed the character aspect but really would call it a price fixe menu not a family style buffet as you get maybe 2 choices served to your family at each stage of the meal including dessert. Would much rather they had 3-4 options on an actual price fixe menu.Kid-friendliness: Kids didn't get an option at all - corn dogs and Mac n cheese served, either they eat those or they would need to eat the adult food.

A nice restaurant and an excellent choice for parents with princessesThis is the restaurant in the Disney EPCOT park located in the Norway section. It is on the East side of the World Showcase Lagoon. I wanted to see the Candlelight processional and bought a package deal that included a meal at this restaurant. This is one of the places that I have never tried in all of my visits to this park. We had reservations and it is best to make them before you get there to ensure you can get in as this is a popular place for parents with princesses. You check in at the entrance to the Location. They will call you forward and escort you in when your table is ready. The restaurant is styled after a castle with large rooms with about 6 tables in each room. The cost is high ($67/person) and the food is Ikea-like with meatballs, salmon, chicken, and dumplings. The waitress was nice. The food was acceptable. The real draw for this was that the Disney Princesses come into your room and visit EVERY table. So if you have kids that want to meet their idols, take pictures, and interact with them, this is YOUR place. Every princess visited every table. They were dressed beautifully and stayed in character the entire time. Highly recommend it for parents with princesses.
