Before you go any further, there's a brand new menu as of 4/18/2024, and it's a very positive change!I've been coming to Canvas for years now. The views are beautiful, service is always great, and the atmosphere is comforting. If I can be honest, the one thing that was always lacking for me was the food.But... we dined at the bar last night and tried out several things on the new menu: Grilled Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, French Dip, Flatbread, Mac & Cheese, and the Nutella Donuts. SO GOOD!! We were blown away at how delicious everything was! The portions are large as well. Everyone around us at the bar was raving about what they ordered. It was really great to hear. I look forward to trying everything else on the menu soon. Also, if you work from home and need a change of scenery, the bar area is an excellent place to work and enjoy lunch. They have outlets under the bar for your laptop/phone as well.

The tuna poke was very spicy. I wish that our waitress had mentioned that, or that the chef would tone down the spice. I couldn’t appreciate the tuna or other ingredients. The sauce was definitely not a traditional spicy mayo seasoning.

What a spectacular meal! What amazing service! What an aesthetically pleasing place to enjoy it all. This was the perfect place for a date with my Dad. I was looking for a place that served good food with high-quality ingredients, healthy options, and nice mocktails. Canvas checked all the boxes. We went on a Wednesday evening. I wasn't sure of the crowd, so I made reservations just in case. Canvas is located within a community of homes and apartments. When we arrived, there was some sort of pop-up of food vendors in one of the parking lots. But we found parking relatively quick anyway. When we entered, we noticed that Canvas has a huge area for people to sit, order breakfast and drinks, enjoy the view, or do some work. The hostess greeted us and immediately sat us. I was disappointed that because of a large private event, we were blocked from the pretty view. Our server greeted us nicely, very polite, efficient, and friendly. For appetizer, we ordered the Black Skillet Roasted Mussels bathed in a delicious briny, buttery broth & served with ciabatta. My dad kept saying, "This is delicious" with every mouthful. This dish is amazing, fresh & flavorful. We could've had two of these!Drinks we got two mojito mocktails that were so fun, refreshing, and delicious. Our entrees, Pan-Seared Salmon, served with fingerling potato & bacon hash topped with a lemon-dill sauce. The salmon is perfectly flaky, juicy, and flavorful. The potato hash is marvelous. Along with a side house salad, it made this entree flawless.Chipotle Meatloaf served with whipped potatoes and English peas, topped with bacon-mushroom gravy.I have been craving meatloaf, and this subtly smoky, spicy version of this classic dish is wonderful. And those potatoes, fluffy, buttery topped with the fresh peas and unctuous gravy, superb. We had a magnificent time and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Canvas, I know you all will too!

Not sure how they goid reviews other than for location. Made reservation and still waited about 25 min while people after us sat.. when we finally sat down at least 5 more tables were available so why wait?? spent about 140 on 2 meals and mimosas only to leave the entire plate since it was terrible, no way to eat it!!! nice place, got nothing else going for it!!

"I had a lovely experience at Canvas. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly and attentive young lady, which made my visit even more pleasant. Although the food was not overly complex, its freshness and pleasant taste made up for it any previous expectations. The atmosphere of the place also contributed to a relaxing and cozy evening. I would definitely recommend Canvas for those looking for a simple but satisfying dining experience in the American style."

Great atmosphere and view of the lake, service is on point and the food is delicious. Went for brunch and started with their loaded breakfast potatoes that were delicious and I highly recommend. Followed it up with some good old Fried chicken wings that were seasoned perfectly and extra crispy. Then went to try their Mussels that came out steaming hot and were hit the spot. Did taste fishy and all they needed were some salt and lemon that come with the dish. As my entree I had their steak eggs which was as good as one would expect. Oh and I can forget about the amazing cornbread. Fluffy, moist and flavorful. Perfect to go along with an plate your order. Will be back when in the area and recommend everyone gives this place a try. It does not disappoint

My partner and I went for lunch and we loved it! The beignets were delicious and not too sweet. The blueberry compote was fresh and warm. We split two entrées and they were both amazing! The eggs benedict with jalapeños had an amazing flavour and the biscuits were both soft and crisp. The Meyer lemon pancakes were also not too sweet but soo fluffy and crispy. The staff were polite and helpful, offering to turn the heaters on since we sat on the patio. Our server also had mocktail option ideas for us since we did not want an alcoholic drinks. I will 100% come back to eat and enjoy the view!
