You absolutely cannot go wrong with this QS restaurant when staying anywhere on property. Even when we stay at one of the Boardwalk hotels we take a Minnie Van over to the Poly just for the Tonga Toast from Captain Cook’s. It’s much cheaper than having it at with table service upstairs, and it’s the exact same meal, minus the strawberry compote. Every other meal we’ve ever had at Captain Cook’s has been excellent, too. Always my go-to place on our annual WDW trip.
As a passholder who usually dines at the same old spots, I felt like changing it up today so I stopped by Capt. Cook's. Turns out this place is a bit of a Disney food hack from both a flavor and value standpoint. For just $20 total, I got the Thai coconut meatballs and the chicken and pineapple skewer. The latter is technically a kids meal but I was deploying it as an appetizer here. This is a gem! We didn't stay at the Poly, but made our way to Capt. Cook's twice. The pulled pork nachos, tonga toast, bounty plate, and thai coconut meatballs are all great choices. Seriously though: the tonga toast will change your life. Try it.
