Food was AMAZING. The waiter (Saleem) was really friendly. The only concern I have is that their waiting times can sometimes get a lot.

We often go to Florida and this time we stopped at Indian Darbar restaurant which is in a very nice location opposite Disney. We met owner who is humble and suggested us three items kali mirch chicken, chicken sakuti and chicken masala with fresh fluffy Nan and pulao. The food was very good and the tea that was offered afterwards was awesome ?. I would appreciate the hospitality and humbleness of the owner who was serving the food..great place to eat Indian food in great location.

Bad service, never try this. Serving person is rude. It seems they don't need business. Hate that person who came for service. So we came out after paying for what we started eating

We had such a good time here. Good was great and freshly prepared. We ordered different appetizers, chicken Tikka Masala, a potato dish, and it was just SO good. Service was great and I was just pleasantly surprised! I think it’s unfair some of the 1 star reviews because they are closed on Mondays or because the line got disconnected. Come on people, support a good local business with a fair review, not you just venting for a having bad day.Kid-friendliness: They have a non Indian kids menu. Chicken nuggets, fries, etc.

This is no longer Darbar Indian Restaurant -- this place is now called "Memories of India" and their website is memoriesofindiaorlando.com It's located at the Shoppes at Buena Vista We went in very hungry last Sunday evening. We had rung ahead to ensure they had chai (tea), which they did. Sipping on our nice chais, we ordered parathas, the Kali Mirch Paneer (paneer in a spicy spinach sauce), Chilli Paneer and the Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower in a tangy, Indo-Chinese sauce). The Chilli Paneer entree came in and was quite excellent -- exactly what was described in the menu and what we expected. Imagine our surprise when the chef and our waiter brought an orange colored tomato sauce based paneer dish and crispy dry fried cauliflower to our table! Wondering whether they had served us the wrong order I asked the chef whether our order included Parathas -- also, in my shock I had kind of forgotten whether or not we had actually ordered parathas! This was where the restaurant lost more points -- the chef decided to pat me on my shoulder and tell me that the parathas were coming. Touching customers/people without their permission is a filthy habit some terrible used car or flea-market salesmen exhibit ...wasn't expecting that kind of third rate behavior from a chef at a well-priced Indian restaurant -- not acceptable. Despite his patronizing gesture and tone, I patiently took the time to explain that I was actually wondering whether a) we had ordered parathas, and b) whether we had received the right order. He literally tried to bully us into agreeing on how awesome his alternate creations were... We then explained to the waiter that we didn't receive what we ordered. The poor chap woefully showed us that the menu had been put together by buffoons e.g., chicken was listed as an ingredient for a vegetarian dish and there were several other mistakes. Anyway, we were hungry and ate some of the food - I salvaged the paneer from my dish and left the sweet tomato sauce for the chef to swim in if he pleased. My partner packed up the parathas, remaining cauliflower and rice. It was a shame -- the parathas and chilly paneer were nice but our dinner experience was damaged beyond repair by now. She was feeling bad because she had 'found' this place on Google. I do feel for that waiter - he was nice throughout and we left him a 20% tip. We then went to a burger king and got ourselves something nice -- we couldn't believe we'd just spent $70+ on food we didn't order. Wouldn't recommend this place for a decent meal. Never going back -- ever!!

I called for the food and they hung up on me. So rude no professionalism!

It is a lovely hidden cameo in Orlando. When though we saw a lot of Indian restaurants on the way to this place, we did not stop, but drove directly here. The owner himself was there to serve us. Being vegetarian, the owner made sure to make us as comfortable as possible. Kids were very moved by the owners behavior as he was very pleasing. We dropped in here on the way to the airport and did not want to have too much food. So, I just ordered one plate of veg biryani and another plate of veg pokoda for a family of 4. But once we got the food, we realized that it was no way enough. Soon, we ordered two lore plates of biryani. It was that tasty. The spice level was just good enough for our liking. Don't miss out on this. Keep in mind that I am a very picky eater, as I am a great cook myself and cannot be easily appeased.
