First off, do not go here if you are looking for a nightclub atmosphere. You will not find it.What you will find is a clean, well maintained bar with fantastic food and friendly service. The crowd is mostly blue collar and retired workers that come in to relax and enjoy each other's company. Every time I have gone in, I met great people and struck up great conversations.The bartenders are cordial and fast at their job. Prices are generally less than any other bar I have visited.The food is better than most bars and I've never been disappointed. My go-to is the cheese steak, double meat, crinkle fries, and grilled peppers and onions on the side. I try to make it a point of getting this at least once a month.The music is usually classic rock or country, not too loud. Overall, a great place to eat and relax with friends.

Tried a burger, I think they use prefab frozen patties, they were still pretty good. All the fixings were fresh, and the fries are really good. A great place to kill some time. Pool tables, pinball machines, darts, shuffle board. The service was awesome and they even have swag for purchase.

I worked at George's right at 20 years ago, and I believe the Fekany family still own and operates it. It's the best dive bar ever, come as you are, nobody will judge you. Danny and Mark managed the place and were great to work for... both tough but fair. It's clear the kitchen has upped its game and the food looks amazing. Neil Young said it best, "Find the losers in the best bars, find the winners in the dives." I'm headed that way soon and I look forward to seeing the differences 20 years made.

I've been going to George's hideaway for over 20 yrs but not monthly sometimes it's a few yrs before I go back but this place is awesome man I love the people everyone is kind the owner is awesome... Drinks are perfect. This place has always had a spot in my heart I go there to think and take a break from the outside world and I always leave feeling like I just spent time with family cheers and enjoy.
