My youngest son wanted Chinese and we were checking the area while we waited for my other who's in Topgolf with his friends. We found Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant and he was feeling Chinese food to eat. The outside looks nice and once we entered, we were greeted right away and directed the two of us in our table. The place looks clean and the place looks like a simple Chinese restaurant but when our server gave us the menu, I had a feeling that their food is going to taste good. Our server asked us what we wanted to drink. My son wanted sweet tea and I asked for hot tea. I ordered pork & egg fried rice with no veggies and egg drop soup for my son. I ordered shrimp wonton noodle soup, beef pan fried dumplings and pan fried turnip cake with XO sauce. I also ordered Yung Chow fried rice which has chicken, shrimp and ham and o also ordered Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce to go for my wife and son to go. The pork & egg fried rice tasted really good. It's not salty, it's just right. So son loved it. Egg drop is flavorful even without adding soy sauce. The consistency is thick, which I love. Make sure to mix the soup before slurping it. They put a drizzle of sesame seed oil. The shrimp wonton noodle soup has a great broth. They give a six pieces of shrimp wonton and bok choy. I dipped their wonton to the chili oil and it tasted good. Beef dumpling has very good flavor. There's a slight crunch from the pan fried and the meat is soft. The dipping sauce has the right mixture and gives that extra uhmp on the dumplings when dipped. The pan fried turnip cake with XO sauce was so good. It has the right texture, slight crunch on the outside and soft in the inside, be careful, it's hot, lol. It has the right amount of sauce and the sauce has just that touch of spice. It's garnish with bean sprouts and you can see the spices all over. The crunch of the bean sprouts made this dish delicious. All their food came out hot and our server was really nice and very attentive to us. Great service. When we got there, around 6pm, the dinner rush hadn't started yet. Half way our dinner, a big party of 12 came in and other people so it got somewhat busy. I didn't get to take a picture of our to go food because when we got home, my wife and oldest son started eating it. The Yung Chow fried rice tastes good. It has a lighter soy sauce than the pork & egg fried rice. A right amount of shrimp, pork, ham and veggies. The Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce is very good. The broccoli cut is kinda in a big size. All in all, they have a very tasty food. We are definitely going back because their has so many good food and they have dim sum, not the push cart style. I highly recommend this place.

We came back to Orlando late for dinner and went this place because of our craving for noodles. We weren’t disappointed with our decision. I have to say it is probably the best Cantonese noodle place in Orlando. We ordered wonton yellow noodles, braised beef with flat noodles and fried rice with chicken and salty fish. For vegetables we ordered fresh green with garlic sauce. Needless to say we finished everything. Very authentic noodles dishes for someone growing up eating them in NYC Chinatown. My next mission is going back to try their dim sum items. Our server was friendly and helpful. Definitely on my Orlando go to list.

Dimsum was great but the service was awful. The waitress was very rude & indignant when we tried to order green beans with pork which was on the menu. Instead she was yelling and trying to argue with us. When it's time to pay, no interaction took place & no acknowledgement from the server. She does not deserve a tip but we let it go. We will never go back to this restaurant again.

I would not touch this place with a 10 foot pole, there is a reason why this place has 3.8 stars on Google... I came in with my son yesterday, he is seven years of age, we happen to be walking down the strip and he started to do the PP dance and said he couldn’t hold it. So we ran inside and I politely asked may we use your restroom, my son really has to pee. The server looked at us while she was serving a table and rudely stated restrooms are for paying customers only and sent us on our way. It is one thing if an adult needs to go, however, if you have the coldest of hearts only then can you look a child in the eye and tell him he cannot relieve himself and to go somewhere else. I was floored by her response, although this review does not factor in their food, it does show the kind of people they are or at least her as a person. Her actions alone has repelled me from ever even considering stepping a foot in this place! ***Owners if you agree with her actions you should be ashamed of yourselves, if not, I would take actions as she is losing you customers******Update to reply to restaurant’s reply***There was only 1 table out of the 20 in there that had customers seated, the entire restaurant was empty. There is no excuse, not to mention, you reply to most negative reviews with the restaurant is busy, don’t believe me? Scroll through like we did and see it for yourself.. Please do not make an excuse and own up to the fact that the person working on that day was wrong and that you will let them know to treat kids (not customers) better than that.

I feel very unhappy about the experience in this restaurant, there has never been a restaurant so bad, today at 18:40, I ordered the takeout by phone, half an hour after arriving at the restaurant, the staff took the money and disappeared, even the two people behind me have been waiting for the waiter to take the table for more than 10 minutes. In the end, I waited for my takeout for half an hour and it still wasn't ready. If I hadn't offered to refund the money and not eat, I guess no one would have cared about my food. As a result, the meal chili oil spilled all over the floor, which made my car very dirty, so that I had to go out to wash the car, and this large intestine is the finished dish, and I do not know why it is so slow to cook. If you are really busy and can not receive the takeout order, you can inform in advance, but there are only four tables of guests in the restaurant that day, and the basic dishes are almost served at each table, and there are two tables of guests were packing the rest of their food, but the staff made excuse said they are so best today!? I think It's just an excuse for their poor service. Never go again

I was in the area with friends and craving Chinese food so randomly chose this one. OMG so authentic and good! I lived in China 2 yrs and am super picky, lol, and this was awesome! Our table of 4 got Mongolian Beef and onions, 'chow fun' beef and noodles, potstickers, green beans, which were all AMAZING and the sesame balls were life changing!!! . Def keeping this one in my normal rotation! Also loved that we were the only non Chinese people in the place...a great sign that it's authentic!

Called in to place my order for pick up and right away the woman taking my order was rude, I still placed my order , I went to go pick up my order and was told that I took to long to pickup my order (I don’t live nearby) so they canceled my entire order without even a phone call and I was then asked if I would like to order it again my answer was NO because why would I give you my money !! Never again !!Part 2 I never received a call about my order for pickup and if someone has placed a family sized order why wouldn’t I come and pick it up my family still had to eat and since the place was out of our way we had to scramble to find something else to feed the family with and based on your response you need some training in manners I should have known from the way the phone was answered and the tone and manner in which I was spoken to that I should have just hung up and not placed my order . Have the day you deserve !!!
