Rosalyn was the best! We had the most amazing experience, great food, tasty cocktails and incredible service, so glad we came!

The bartenders are friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is calm and clean, and the drinks are good and strong. Worth the money if you do not wish to stay at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and would like a pick-me-up.

Wasn't on the menu, but the bartender was able to whip up a couple of irish coffees, which really hit the spot.

We really enjoyed the Rosen Shingle Creek for a 3- day stay at the start of our vacation, room upgrade provided with spectacular view. Self parking was complimentary due to a VIP status and they have an electric charging station with a DC charger. Everyone was so nice and friendly and they gave us late checkout at the end. Convenient to Universal Studios , the mall and movie theatres. Just superb

Average at best. Staff was very pleasant. Food was about average for hotel food and overpriced as you expect at a hotel. Place is dated and needs upkeep. Lobby furniture is stained and worn. What really got me was they charged to use the gym. I would get better at a Holiday Inn Express. No hotels charge for a gym. The explanation was they don’t charge a resort fee so they charge to use an amenity that budget hotels provide for free. Cheap and low class. Bottom line if you go for a conference with a group it is okay. For a vacation or get away you can do better.

Fantastic hotel great location I really enjoyed my stay here special mention for the duty manager Kennedy she is amazing very helpful. If you plan to stay at this hotel you definitely need a car to move around but more importantly download the Uber app when get here as well the service is great. A word of caution when using the Uber app make sure you are where you should be for example the lobby outside before ordering a taxi it’s quick like on average five minutes. I will definitely be back next year after I have completed my PGCE secondary education in geography.

I write this review from the perspective of a british family of 4, using the hotel as a base to visit the various nearby theme parks over 2 weeks. It is mainly geared up as a hotel with an attached convention centre. I knew this and accepted this as other reviews have mentioned. All the people we met were friendly, courteous and respectful. We stayed at a premium universal hotel for one night to take advantage of their fast-pass offer so can really make a direct comparison between the two hotels. In short, there wasnt much difference - but we paid 2/3 less at shingle creek. Firstly, i'll comment on the strengths of the hotel: 1- Clean and well organised hotel. The room was cleaned every day. Sheets changed not as often as i would have liked. 2- Breakfast buffets are fabulous if included in a b&b rate. Plenty of choice for everyone. Great service and well-cooked. Some of the only fresh fruit youll see all day!! 3- Great location. We used ubers. We had a max wait time of 5 minutes. Ubers to disney were 12-20 dollars. Ubers to universal were 9-12 dollars. Much cheaper than hiring a car. We simply used the free disney buses to get us as close to the hotel as possible and then uber from there. 4 - Pools were great. Towels provided. 5- Spacious rooms. The rooms were a little bigger than the universal premium hotel, but a little outdated in decor in comparison. Not really a problem for us. Shingle creek goes for the traditional hispanic look. 6- Lovely golf course. Well worth a nudge. But club hire very expensive. You can get some good green fee rates, but it was about 70 dollars to rent clubs. Blimey! 25 dollars for 2 hours on the range. Overall, this was a fantastic base and we had a marvellous time. The hotel was perfect for us, although here are the areas for improvement: 1 - The food and on-site shop are not reasonably priced in contrary to many reviews. For example it was 40 dollars for a six-pack of bud light. 7 dollars for one 330 ml can. 3-5 dollars for a bottle of water. 26 dollars for a pizza. Do yourselves a favour a plan a trip to walmart or publix (across the road) at the start of your trip. The prices are aimed at corporate and in my opinion are not reasonable. 2 - The receptionist on check-in was grumpy and unhelpful and didnt portray a good impression. This was a clear difference between that of the universal hotel receptionist who couldn't do enough for us. 3- If breakfasts are included in your rate, you get a voucher per person on check-in, for everyday that you are there. We stayed for 15 nights so that is 60 vouchers. For some unknown reason, we had to hand-write our names and room number on each voucher. To me this just seems crazy. Surely there can be a better way than this? We werent given enough vouchers so check yours. The breakfast buffet is priced at 28 dollars pp. One other implication of 'corporate' is the ability to 'grab and run'. The staff seem to not allow guests to grab breakfast then run off to the parks. It's almost like they dont want this kind of behaviour. When breakfast opens at 6.30 and you need to be off to a park by 7, it would be really nice to have some containers for 'on-the-go': and it be encouraged. The waiters encoraged us to take some fruit for the day, but it was almost as if they shouldnt be letting you take food out. Again this is more of a corporate view than a family-friendly one. 4- Forget the bath. My 8 year old cannot fit into it. It surely must be a high-walled shower tray? 5- The 'shuttle'. We booked the hotel partly on the knowledge that there was a free universal shuttle. And disney shuttles. There isnt. When we asked the concierge about it, he laughed and said 'they are contractors and never here' and 'it' s only a 20 bucks uber ride'. In short, there is a separate desk with some outline details on it. The desk is manned three times a week apparently - and you need to book on if you want to use it. I'm not saying that it isnt there, but we didnt see one. Theres hardly any info

Old fashioned is amazing and a must! If you're never tried one it is smooth and sweet and nothing like I thought it would taste like. Will be a go to drink from now on!

I visited here with my family of 3 for a conference. I’ve stayed at many conference hotels including at least 3 in Orlando. The Rosen Shingle does a fantastic job. Suites: We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was fully updated, everything in the room was up to date, fresh and clean. This is one of the best suite configurations I’ve ever seen. Staff: You can tell this hotel is locally owned and operated. Every detail was dialed in. From front desk, to housekeeping, valets, waiters and banquet attendants - everyone is genuinely happy to work there and is super nice. Pool/bar: the pools are great, pool side drinks and food were really good. I was thrilled to be able to lounge by the pool and have drinks and food delivered on demand. Restaurants: There are at least 8 unique places to have a meal on property. Mexican, sushi, American, burgers, fine dining, it’s all there and super convenient. We loved the Taqueria for lunch!! They even have an extensive convenience market with a full fast food menu, coffee, snacks, and anything else you need. Conference Center: the conference center is beautiful. Budget: I’ve stayed in many 4 and 5 star places. This isn’t the Four Seasons but for what you get for the money is an incredible value. You’re paying holiday inn express rates and getting almost Ritz Carlton level property/service.

Second time coming here for a CHARGE Syndrome foundation conference and can’t say enough good things. The staff and the across the board professionalism and accommodation is the first thing you notice. Kudos to the management on that because in today’s day it’s hard to keep that level of service consistency. The grounds and facilities, all restaurants, and conference rooms are well maintained and kept clean. I had a great first impression when I first visited and my memory definitely served me right as all of my previous fond memories were confirmed with our second visit. The pool is soooo nice, with many different options and pools depending on your specific needs wether it be lap swimming, lounging, splashing or with the kiddos. Look forward to our next visit!

Almost perfect. Nearly every staff member was friendly, helpful and engaged. This included event staff, cashiers at deli/convenience store, housekeepers and restaurant bartenders/servers. One of pool bar bartenders said he was there for 15+ years and said the employee benefits are incredible so kudos to them for treating their staff well so guests have a great experience. We did have a poor experience with one staff interaction and Bob Stewart, the banquet manager, was gracious and non-defensive when I gave feedback. Food at all restaurants were great, esp at A Land Remembered (Kyle is fantastic). In fact we ate all meals on property for six days except one trip to restaurants on International Drive (quick 7 min Uber ride). Rooms clean. We are returning for another event in December—looking forward to it!

We stayed here for 2 weeks with the purpose of doing all the parks Disney and universal. Had good transport links to universal, with a free shuttle bus that was easy to use and navigate. Disney bus was $15 for a return but was also easy to use and couldn’t fault them. Everyone was really nice, with good facilities. It is also a conference hall so we often got surprised to find there were often busier on these days however, it did not really impact us other than increased queues to the lifts, or busier at night. The decor was a little outdated but the room was lovely, with a view over the pool/golf course, with two king sized beds, that were amazingly comfy. Room was cleaned every night, and room service was amazing. Had lovely restaurants on site, with 3 pools and a hot tub/spa pool. It is more distanced from international drive, and is more remote. However, we found Uber was amazing with getting around easily, and there are transport links to the parks if that’s what you come to do. Overall would recommend if your looking for somewhere off site for the parks, and more out of the way and quiet.

Excellent stay! Spacious accommodations, friendly staff, and a variety of restaurants and activities to enjoy. Thank you to VINCE at CALA BELLA for your wonderful service and great conversation. Also, thank you to Eddie (security) for the late arrival golf cart ride from the parking lot. You guys were awesome!

Really nice hotel. Second visit. Lots of conventions but still plenty of room at the pool and in car park. Very clean, staff lovely. I think you need a car as it is central to most things but definitely a short drive to Disney and universal and outlets . Rooms could do with updating but they are large and the beds are very comfortable. The whole place is very clean and the three pools are first class, always plenty pool towels nad Sun loungers. It has a few restaurants a bar and a shop. Slightly more expensive for drinks but all in all a fab place to stay.
