Wonderful hotel with upscale resort feel. So nice to have garden walk to Universal Orlando Resorts & City Walk. The option of "hotel" water taxi/boat is nice bonus! (especially after long day)All staff and especially the cleaning team go beyond expectation. Will stay at Lowes Royal Pacific Hotel again.Nearby activities: loved the close Universal Orlando Islands & StudiosWalkability: garden walk or water taxi to parks and city walk shopping/restaurantsFood & drinks: Orchid Restaurant has fantastic food

The top 3 resorts at Universal (Hard Rock, Pacifica, Portofino) are all dated but the Unlimited Express Pass is included if you stay there. The pass allows you to use the express lane at nearly all the rides (Hagrid is excluded) for an unlimited number of times. Portofino is being renovated. The other significant benefit is that commuting to the parks (Citywalk area) by boats or a private walkway makes going to the parks much easier. If you get the unlimited fountain drinks at the park you can also use that at the Pacifica (they have a Coke machine). The pool area at the Pacifica is also very nice. Other than the rooms and service is good but not great. Bottom line is that you are paying a hefty premium for the Unlimited Express but it is worth it if you want the Unlimited Express. Unlimited Express can cost $200 per day per ticket extra and is definitely needed during the busy seasons.

I had accidentally left a jacket and car key in the wardrobe in my room and did not realize my mistake until I was back home in Pennsylvania.I contacted lost and found and they went above and beyond to provide super fast shipping of the jacket and key to me.Cornell at check in was also amazingly friendly and helpful during our stay.

The service at dinner in The Islands left something to be desired compared to the high level of service everywhere else.Rooms: Walls are a little thin. The crying baby next door to us sounded like it was in our room and did impact our stay.
