They charge you for breathing. I got the strawberry smootea she made it very sour and it didnt taste like strawberry. They dont do refunds either which i think is ridiculous because she messed up the drinks and gave us plain boba when we asked for brown sugar boba. I say you should only visit if you like earthy drinks because fruity drinks are clearly not their specialties.

Wonderful tea and lovely people behind the counter. They were so kind as we figured out what we wanted and what we could have with a dairy allergy. Will definitely be back.

Have always loved this place from my first day of grand opening to the many years later. Although the star has changed over time the loving warm energy is still the same. If your get boba in Orlando come

Person working here was fantastic! Made a confident recommendation for my family! She also split it for us since she knew kids would want their own. Drink and atmosphere were great.

Wonderful environment to just sit and hangout with friends. Staff was so sweet and asked about if we were okay with certain ingredients.

Tl;dr: Great menu, awesome service, friendly staff, nice vibe, so many flavor options, customizable drinks, pastries (!!!!), reasonable prices, eco-conscious, free tumbler, local business, easy to access.Ok now for my novel-length review ? I was just so blown away by every part of the experience that I needed to share my honest thoughts.▪️Drink menu: They have an amazing menu with so many flavor combinations, seasonal drinks, unique crafted drinks (made with plain teas, milk teas—they even have dairy alternatives—matcha drinks, fresh fruit puree add-ins, boba and jellies).▪️Food Menu: They also sell pastries—My husband cannot resist a puff-pastry custard and fruit dessert so he got one and loved it. I didn’t try any pastries, but I will next time I go.▪️Price: For my jasmine green tea with mango and passion fruit puree and lychee jelly, I paid only $6 for a decent quantity. I was surprised by the price as this is inexpensive relative to the usual downtown pricing that comes with a premium.▪️Service: The service here is amazing! I didn’t feel rushed to make a choice and was able to ask questions about the drinks since it was my first time visiting and I was debating between so many delicious looking drinks. Migdalia was so friendly helping me choose exactly what I wanted. She was super knowledgeable and patient as it was my first time going. We had a great chat, and she was even fine with taking a selfie for my review ?▪️Vibe: The atmosphere is so cute and relaxing! I would’ve spent time sitting in the cafe and people-watching, but I was already running late for an event I was planning to attend. RareTea seems like a good spot for a first date, a quick meeting, or a little break from the mayhem of daily life. It also seems like an ideal spot for remote work. IDK how they would feel about that, but I’ll try just bringing a laptop, setting up my little WFH station, and trying different drinks.▪️Environmental-Friendliness: Another plus for me is that my drink came in a reusable tumbler, which I love because I try to be eco-conscious as much as possible so I appreciate the green option! Plus I now have a cute tumbler to add to my collection ??▪️Small Business: Ironically, RareTea is located right near the Starbucks on Summerlin, but I’m always glad to give my money and support to a local business over a corporate chain. I try to shop local whenever I can, and I’m glad I just so happened to walk past RareTea and decide to go in because it’s my new favorite tea & boba shop.▪️My Order: I love a classic green tea with boba or jelly, so I ordered the mango-passion fruit-jasmine green tea with lychee jelly and was able to customize my drink (sugar level, ice level). It was perfection! Just high-quality jasmine green tea with fresh mango and passion fruit puree, and lychee jelly, no sugar, light ice.It was exactly the way I like my tea drinks—simple, flavorful, and fresh. Next time, I’ll be more adventurous and try one of their custom and seasonal drinks.Vegetarian options: There were no meat options as far as I know. The boba is made from tapioca (I think?), which is vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: For milk teas, they offer dairy-free alternatives; one of them that I remember was oat milk. They also tailor drinks to your desired sugar level, which is good for people who need to watch their sugar intake. Finally, their fresh fruit add-ins are optional in case if someone has an allergy.Parking: There’s a parking garage (Thornton Park Central Garage?) behind the plaza at Summerlin and Central that’s easy to access, usually has lots of available parking spots unless there’s a major event downtown, and has a door leading right to Summerlin steps from RareTea. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes I believe. This is one of my favorite parking areas downtown for when I visit Lake Eola because there’s no crazy traffic to het to it.Kid-friendliness: RareTea would be a child’s dreamland, with the unique menu items, customizable drink orders, easy-to-read menus (that include photos), and friendly and patient staff. I’m 31, but I felt

I brought my cousin and her kids here to try boba for the first time. They were very needy and it was less than 30min before closing but Amanda and Madalia still managed to make their experience amazing. Oh and the boba was so good!!Dietary restrictions: They also have dairy free options.

My friend and I ordered the Caramelized BrownSugar Boba Fresh Milk and Okinawa Milk tea. Unfortunately the brown milk was way too thick for some reason. It was creamy like how it should be but it was way too creamy that it was thick to swallow. The okinawa milk tea was the opposite. My friend said it tasted too watered down by the ice even when we tasted it right away once it came out. I'm guessing the proportions were off? But it shouldn't have tasted so watered down and the brown milk shouldn't have been so thick that we had to mix the two to get a regular consistency! The only good thing is that flavors were good but off proportions, and the boba was good texture

Initial thought: Beautiful interior and great location being next to a ramen bar. My Thai tea was good- not the best I've ever had. I'll go back and try other flavors.

After a small miscommunication, and my lack of pronunciation, Meg, our server, was so quick to help! She was so generous to make a new drink for us, and she even let us keep the old one. Thank you, Meg!

This is one of my favorite places to get brown sugar boba. I am pretty picky when it comes to brown sugar boba but rare tea does it differently. It may be overly sweet for others but I enjoy the combination of milks they use to create the beverage. The staff is always friendly and the interior designing is cute. Their fresh teas are also great. I have tried the passion fruit one and it is delicious. Rare Tea also offers other desserts but I have not tried them yet. It is perfect sweet treat if you are near Lake Eola and want to grab something. Their prices are fair and there is never a long wait (or so every time I have been).
