Kind of small place. Order at the counter and they bring you the food. Service was fairly quick. They had a lot of really good looking pizzas. We wanted to try a few things so we only got slices but the whole pies looked to be a good size. The pizzas were tasty, nice fresh flavors, crispy crusts. The arancini was a little tasteless, even when I drenched them in sauce. The garlic knots were just ok, could have been a lot more garlicky for my taste, maybe a garlic butter dipping sauce would help? All in all a pretty decent pizza place. I will probably return to try some of their other dishes, and some more slices

The ambiance is quaint and clean. The restaurant was clean and busy on a Friday night. The staff handled the rush very well. The lady at the cash register was very nice and helpful. The owner was very nice and accommodating to making sure everyone was well taken care of. The pizza was very good. My brother had the cheese side and i had the margarita side. The sauce on the margarita side was really tasty. It had a sweetness to it that made me eat all the slices in one sitting! The pizza slice sizes are a nice size as well. I would rate the pizza an 8 out of 10. The pasta sauce in the Pasta Alla Vodka was pretty good. The only complaint i had with this dish is that the sauce does not stick to the penne all that well, so it was more like eating a plain pasta shell and then having to scoop the sauce afterwards to enjoy the flavor with the pasta. Overall, i would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience, we’re originally located in Davenport. My bf is from NY && said this is as close as it gets to NY. The atmosphere was great, very friendly and greeted us. Absolutely delicious&& authentic highly recommend. We got a grandmas, upside down pizza & a white slice

Was recommended Sal’s by some friends and thought we give it a try… it didn’t disappoint!! The pizza and calzone were really delicious 100% will be coming back! The Pizza Bar was inviting and the atmosphere was really good, overall the look and feel was great it was very clean and tidy, as we waited for our takeout order tables were being cleared straight away. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they were personable engaging in conversation even though it was busy as we were leaving he said to us we picked a good place to eat tonight and he was definitely not wrong! The only negative I could say about the pizza bar was that it was slightly confined whilst waiting but that’s because it was so busy which is definitely not a bad thing and actually made me think I made the right choice to try Sal’s before even getting our food but I would happily wait in order to get this pizza. Everyone who likes good authentic pizza with a really reasonable price should visit Sal’s!

I would have given this place 5 stars however….there was an employee wearing gloves & she went to clean the bathroom then went to serve meatballs to a table with the same gloves on. Continued to keep the gloves on while whipping tables & the trash can down. Still never changed her gloves. I don’t want someone with bathroom gloves on to serve my pizza. Change your gloves please!

Friends told us about Sal's and suggested that we stop here while in the area. Great choice. Lots of options from pre-made to order your own. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.
They have been open for maybe a month, so with saying that I will give them another shot. I didn't find it anything special, the pizza was soggy it could've been cooked a little bit more. It is family owned and I didn't try anything else but the pizza, my mom had gotten a chicken Greek salad for the price they could've put a little bit more than three pieces not strips of chicken. The service was ok kind of slow for what we had ordered as other people that ordered behind us got their items before us. It's is a casual ambiance. I will eat more time go by and give it another try

We like to consider ourselves world travelers and throughout our adventures this is one of the best, we can say, without a doubt.. authentic New York style pizza!First off, if you know NY pizza.. the crust has got a crisp to it and yes it’s gonna have some grease from the pizza! If it ain’t greasy it is not real NY style pizza! You take a napkin and dab the grease off if you’re classy; but if you’re hungry, you really gonna let that grease drip from. The corners of your mouth as you enjoy the savory flavor. It goes great with some Yuengling to wash it down with. Definitely made us feel like we were back in the north east.If you order take out, the meal is not going to taste or be represented the same as dining in. Thats something to keep in mind.The quaintness of the space felt like we were back in Europe.. small eating area inside and outside. It’s got a great vibe to the whole place! And you can’t beat the customer service. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Cannot say enough good things about Sal’s!Can’t wait to bring family and friends for more!
