We ordered food to go and we chose this place based on the reviews. The food was terrible for the price. The pork in the ramens we ordered were thin and only came with two. The broth wasn't flavorful. We ordered extra eggs and it's basically just half an egg. The sushi was also average. I would recommend you save your money and order elsewhere.

This is a hole in the wall sushi and Japanese food restaurant that appears to be family owned by a Japanese family and mostly Japanese clientele. The food is quite authentic to my trips to Japan and the staff were great. This is a great place if you are looking for truly authentic and high quality Japanese cuisine.

The ingredients are very fresh and the service is very good, but the parent-child donburi and pork cutlet donburi are very salty.

Sushi Tomi is a gem for sushi lovers, offering an experience that is both unique and authentic. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with the exceptional detail of Japanese toilets, adding an intriguing touch to the ambiance. The sushi quality is nothing short of amazing, with each piece prepared to perfection, showcasing the chefs’ mastery and dedication to their craft. For those seeking something beyond sushi, the Pork Katsudon is a standout, delivering on flavor and satisfaction without disappointment.Despite its simplicity, the restaurant often finds itself crowded, a testament to the quality of food and service it consistently delivers. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the chefs and servers, most of whom are Japanese, spreading the language and culture, contributing significantly to the restaurant’s authentic vibe. This authenticity isn’t limited to the ambiance and staff but extends to the food, with lunch specials that promise value without compromising on quality. While prices may be on the higher side, the exceptional quality of the ingredients and the culinary skill on display justify the cost. The commitment to offering an authentic and high-quality dining experience is evident in every aspect of Sushi Tomi, from the food to the service to the overall atmosphere. Our visits to Sushi Tomi were so enjoyable that we found ourselves returning twice in the same day, drawn back by the irresistible combination of great food, authentic atmosphere, and welcoming service. The restaurant comes highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional sushi dining experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, confirming that Sushi Tomi isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience worth repeating.

So so sushi and a bit pricey. Shrimp tempura roll without avocado? How come?

I came to Orlando for Disney World. The ingredients were fresh and the seasoning was not too strong, giving it a Japanese taste. Especially the squid was delicious! The store was clean, the staff was polite and friendly, and I felt very comfortable. It was a good idea to make a reservation because it seemed to be crowded with a lot of locals.

Why say you are open until 2 if you stop taking orders and no one can order take out…if you are going to close at 1:45 then say we close at 1:45 so that people can plan accordingly. Won’t be going back…wasted my time.

The food was great, however the service was not good...FOOD: They have many different varieties of Japanese food other than the typical "sushi or teriyaki" at other Japanese restaurants. The only complaint I have with the food - and it's a pretty picky complaint - is that there are not as many sushi options compared to other Japanese restaurants, but the sushi I had was delicious.SERVICE: While the employees were nice, the service itself was not the best: At first, our server got us our drinks quickly and answered all of our questions, but then just disappeared. We waited ~20 minutes for our server to come back and ended up asking another server to put in our order. Then, a family of four came in and wanted to sit at the sushi bar - the same place we were sitting at. For context, the sushi bar has two sides for people to sit at, and the other side from where we were sitting was entirely empty. However, our new server was persisting we move over for the family even though the other side of the sushi bar was entirely empty. And the icing on the cake was the family ended up leaving without ordering anything.

Best nigiri and Sashimi Sushi in Orlando.Just to preface.I recently moved to Orlando from Charlotte NC about a year ago. Until I've dine in Sushi Tomi, I genuinely believed that Orlando's affordable sushi scene was underwhelming and mainly focused on overpriced Sushi rolls with too much rice and not enough ingredients. Also I thought that quality Sushi was only reserved for people who are willing to pay top dollar. But after I dined at Sushi tomi yesterday I'm glad I was proven wrong. I had the Sushi boat for two, chicken katsu, katsudon, and some freshwater eel and uni.Every bite was amazing and made me remember what great nigiri and sashimi was supposed to taste like. All of it is fresh and traditionally made. I will be coming back anytime I have a japanese food craving and look forward to trying everything on the menu.
