Love it! The food and drinks are good and they have so many games which are very well organized and in good shape, and a great selection! You can go to eat and drink or just play the games. The table rental is $5 a person and that lets you play all the games you want. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful as we were a little confused by the process. We can’t wait to go again!

LGBT friendly. Good selection of drinks. Friendly staff. Owner is active and present, which is a good thing to see.I like the atmosphere, it's not too rowdy which makes the bar more approachable for me or other more introverted people. Plenty of activity in the board gaming area usually. Most active Fridays and Saturdays, otherwise very chill and relaxing. Fairly close to the research park and ucf, so it's a fairly young crowd but plenty of middle aged people as well.I like the pretzels and beer cheese.

Tons of games. They have a wide variety of easy games to pick up, classics (life, connect four, sorry, etc), and long/strategy games so there’s something to do for everyone. Staff is fun.

Came here to enjoy a birthday celebration. I love this place and this concept and would LOVE to see more places like this. If you plan to make it a long stay it can become pricy but it is so worth it to keep this place in business. We got the kings hand sandwich which was a peanut butter turkey burger, the beer cheese tots and pretzels, a dice roll cider and their homemade beer fleet. We stayed for a few hours and had a great night.

Years ago my husband and I (friends back then) went to Cloak & Blaster when they were located on Woodbury. We cherish that night as that wound up being the night we decided to start dating. We recently celebrated being married for two years at the new location near UCF.The day of, I emailed the owner to ask about creating a welcoming sign on the table with me and my husbands nickname to surprise him. Although they don’t reserve tables, the owner made a special accommodation for us! He ensured that an employee will take care of it upon arrival. The staff created a welcome sign and placed candles on the table. And we even were gifted a chocolate cake to celebrate! ?Once again, we had a blast playing their board games (LOTS AND LOTS OF GAMES AVAIL FROM NEW TO THROWBACKS!). The customer service was amazing as we were greeted with smiles and info about the new location. If you’re looking for something to do for date night or with friends, this is a cool spot to meet people and eat tasty food, with employees who are kind, thoughtful, and funny! Special thanks to Gabi and another persons name that I can’t remember! (Short black hair with glasses)We’ll be back!

This spot is so great. You grab a table, scan the QR code on the napkin holder, order your game pass, food, and drinks, and you're good to go! The staff here is so cool and nice. They have a lot of games, ranging from RPG style or more casual party games. I had a pretty bangin' flatbread and the Hogsmeade drink was super good. This is a new spot for sure.

We had all prior been to the old location numerous times and went in expecting that level of service and enthusiasm from the staff. However, we weren’t met with that when we were there. The board game selection is still top notch and they offer and wide variety of food and beverage options, and the $5 pay to play concept is great when wanting to try out new games before purchasing for your own. The staff however didn’t seem as interested or willing to assist as they did prior. Having asked the staff for help with one of the more popular and well known games and nobody having any knowledge or even willingness to try to assist as we tried to muddle through and figure out the game. One staff member even laughed at us as we spoke to them on multiple occasions and appeared to be bothered that they were approached. We probably will not be returning as the best aspect of the old spot was how helpful and knowledgeable the wait staff were, which made it easier to pick up some of the more “complex” games for the first time. If we return, we will stick to the more “party friendly” games and stick to playing the strategy and deck building games at home.

This review is a sad one. The C&B at this current location just isn't what the old one used to be. As a business owner myself, I totally get how COVID affected things, however it seems like at least some of the reasons for the mediocre experience are self inflicted. The old C&B had a cozy, warm, medieval pub-like feel with great lighting and an even better atmosphere. The new bright, florescent lights are a bit nauseating and do not give off that same vibe. While a little costly, this doesn't seem like a complicated fix over time. The next point is the overall customer-flow experience. Their online-only system, combined with a $5 game fee, plus this card you have to flip over to get service (green = go, red = no), plus a whole sheet of paper explaining the whole process is.. well, it is not a good process at all. It again gives off a cold vibe and the interaction with the staff is a bit awkward due to the various combined mechanisms. Not to mention, we were given our receipts and told this is to remind us to pay our tab. Meaning to or not, that gives off a pushy vibe and comes off strange. To the owners, your customer experience is clunky at best and downright weird at worst. The final constructive criticism I'll give is the location. At the end of the day, a lot of the above (at least with the customer-flow experience) are solving issues seemingly due to your location. You are next to a college where a lot of your clientele is 18-20 years old. I can imagine there are probably a lot of squatters and the like that can not drink or are too poor to drink. So, you try to solve it by charging for your games which then punishes those who are going to buy a lot of drinks to begin with. This, combined with your kitchen being much more limited on food options / your food quality going down disincentives those who don't drink from spending money. It is a super inefficient cycle and while squatters might happen a bit no matter where you are, they are exasperated by the area of town you are at and your limited kitchen capabilities. A better location could be the Maitland area (over by Blackbird Coffee and Coolstuff Games) due to having synchronicity with other businesses around the area (Blackbird has a similar clientele, but closes early) as well as attracting a larger audience that is 21+.Ultimately, I am sure there is SO MUCH behind the scenes that has gone down and that y'all have had to make a lot of sacrifices. On top of that I am sure money is tight and a lot of these things are easier said than done. I am not trying to say I see the whole situation because I don't. What I can see however is something that needs improvement, especially the customer-flow experience.I have a ton of awesome memories at your old location and I hope you all find a way to make it succeed! For what its worth a lot of tables were having a great time and there were a lot of laughs and smiles throughout the night, so that is def still there! Good luck.

The nerdiest of havens, this place is the best spot to play a board game and have a drink. Beyond a vast assortment of drink selections, the menu has improved over the last year and hits the spot during a dungeons and dragons campaign. I love the occasional limited items, and the events are super cool. Also, where else can you drink and buy fancy dice?

- Great selection of themed drinks and food.- Good selection of board games- Friendly but very oddly weird service (ex. we ordered 2 butterbeers, they served us 1 and said they're out of stock, so we asked for a small cup so that the other person can at least taste it, they apologized and said no)- The ceiling, chairs, and tables need a drastic overhaul. The seats are too low relative to the table, they look like they're from a buffet restaurant, and they break the thematic immersion from the otherwise nicely themed tavern vibe

It was awesome! Although it gets a little noisy around dinner time! A bit pricey but not bad if you're going with a group! Wish I had more of my friends with me and definitely a place I'll go back to!

This place is cool if you love board games. It’s $5 to play games here. You can also order food. You can only order food online there are no waiters. That can be kind of frustrating but the workers were helpful. The food was really good.

I had the best time with my friend at this bar. It is such a good vibe. We did not play the board games because it was just the two of us. The food was good, the beer was good and the service is really good! You order from your phone and they deliver to your table. The place atmosphere is really cool and makes you enjoy your night without being in a crowded and loud bar.Definitely recommend !
