The food challenge is a complete scam!Don't get conned people. Stay away and support an honest establishment. This one is FAR from it!

Why this restaurant doesnt have a 5 star rating is beyond me! I have been eating here since it opened and the food and staff have always been phenomenal! We ate dinner from The Kitchen two nights during our recent stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! The first night we split the short rib pasta...thank goodness...it was amazing and the portion size filled us both up! The meat was so tender and cooked to perfection! On our last night we stopped in after a full day at the parks with our 4 year old grandson. It was perfect once again! Chicken tender and fries for him, smothered pork chop with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes with a delicious mushroom gravy for me, and the skirt steak with duck fat fingerling potatoes for my husband! Everything was delicious, we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and our server, Jake was fantastic! He even brought out a complimentary donut sundae for the birthday boy! Can't wait to stop in for dinner again in April!Kid-friendliness: The servers were great with our grandson! A nice menu for k8ds, and the kids can make their owndinner on certain nights....a pizza or quesadilla!

Food & service were very good. Waiter told us the breakfast buffet worked out to the same cost as ordering off the menu as drinks were included. Well, unless you eat a lot...ordering off the menu costs a bit less, plus your food comes to you. You will be pleased.

So many GF options! A lot of items on the menu can be made GF. This is huge! Our server Jason made ordering a breeze. He was very attentive and was able to accommodate to my needs. I will definitely be coming back. If you have a GF allergy or intolerance I highly recommend coming here. We tried the lobster Mac and cheese, artichoke flatbread and fall market salad with chicken (ALL GF!! Upon request)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Don’t go off the ratings for this place. Many upset over some food challenge. We ate here last night and all of the food we ordered was delicious. We had smothered pork chops, lobster mac and cheese and a burger. The best part was that the chef came out personally to discuss my son’s peanut allergy to ensure we felt comfortable with our order. He assured us of all of the precautions the kitchen takes for food allergies. Definitely one of the best restaurants around Universal.

Delicious food. We got the kitchen chopped salad with grilled shrimps, Joyce farms chicken, and mac and cheese to share for our table of 3. The meat was tender. Everything was flavorful. Portions are just right. We shared two desserts amongst the table, but could have gone with one because they are big. The snickers brownie is to die for. Must try this place, especially if staying in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Excellent everything. Service and atmosphere are great. Food was great. Braised beef ragout and Bison tacos were great. Too full to enjoy desert but it looked great. Also compared to the lines at City Walk, it’s an easy in and out. Highly recommend.

This is the absolute best place to go in Orlando if you have food allergies.Dairy allergies can be incredibly hard to work with at restaurants, however, my two visits to The Kitchen absolutely blew me away. We had the same server both times, Billy, who was the most attentive server I have ever met. He was immediately working to check all the ingredients in my meal the first time and make sure that I could safely eat. When dessert was brought out, he brought me a mango sorbet, on the house, that was safe for me to eat. When we returned two days later, my group had arrived before me and ordered our appetizers. Without even knowing that I would be coming to dinner, he remembered that I was part of the group and instructed the kitchen to prepare some appetizers for me in a separate part of the kitchen. He checked the rest of the ingredients in the appetizers to ensure I could eat everything safely; additionally, he remembered my order and how I liked it prepared. He was constantly checking in on the group throughout the meal and made sure that my food was served first to avoid my meal getting mixed up with someone else’s.Not only was he attentive to me, but he remembered multiple drink orders and preferences of the others in my party. I cannot say enough good things about all of the waitstaff, especially Billy(seriously he deserves a promotion or a raise), but also the twice-a-week magician entertainment that they have. I will absolutely be going back to this restaurant anytime I’m in Orlando and I will be telling everyone to go here.Go, ask for Billy, try the food, see some magicians, and have a great time.Dietary restrictions: They will accommodate anyone and ensure that no one with any dietary restrictions feels left out. They will modify just about any meal without making anyone feel like a burden for asking, which is very hard to find in a restaurant.

Loved the food and atmosphere. Billy is probably one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect and he was so attentive to our party of 18. The music is good and the table magic show was a great touch! They were super attentive to my friend with an allergy, too.
