You NEED to come to European Cafe & Schnitzel House. The food and the service are one of a kind. We had a larger party and everything single thing we had was incredible. The Prague schnitzel with spaezels, the pierogies and cabbage rolls, and the potato pancakes; Every dish was delicious. Others in my party hard the borscht and also chicken noodle soup with their entrees as well as other varieties of schnitzels and said they were amazing. Thank you so much for lovely hospitality and memorable meal!

Best service and food around . We love this restaurant. The chef truly takes pride in every dish . Makes the soup from scratch without a recipe , and I have never had a soup I didn't absolutely love . From appetizers to main dish , it is delicious. This restaurant was my choice for Mother's Day. We had family visiting not fans of German food , but humored me for Mother's Day . They are now true fans . Service is perfect. Short handed, 1 server delivered excellent service. Your missing out if you haven't tried this place yet .

We stopped here for my mothers birthday dinner. You need a reservation as this location is small with maybe 10 tables. Our server was great, kinda quirky but good overall. Parking is limited, only a few spots up front on an incline . Stairs to front entrance so if you have trouble walking (like my mom) not the place for you. Huge portions on food and fairly priced

The best German food I have ever had at very reasonable prices. We will find our way back to Ormond Beach from New England just so we can eat here again. Our server Paul was wonderful. Oh and the sauerkraut soup?

Although I've lived in the area off and on for several years, tonight was the first time I tried this Restaurant. First impression upon approach, this place needs some serious sprucing up, and the front door could use some scrubbing and a coat of paint. The interior is a throwback to times when it was cool to look pseudo rustic with antlers and stuffed deer heads which had not been dusted in years. A sign on the wall asking patrons to be patient because of being short on staff. True. One sole person working the front of the house, serving and busing. An interesting menu which had been taped together with electrician's tape! My dinner companion ordered Jägerbraten while I decided on Sauerbraten. Both dishes were similarly plated with Spätzle, red cabbage, some garnishes and the resp. meats which were invisible under a large pool of sauce. The Bratensauce (gravy) tasted like it came straight from a Knorr pacandage. The sauce on the Jägerbraten had finely chopped mushrooms and tasted bland. The Spätzle must have had aversion to being boiled in salted water and lacked any flavor. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

Try the Indian food at the Indian restaurant. Excellent!!! Taste exactly like when I went to India and stayed with a family who cooked up a storm of wonderful spices and masala tea!

We had a very good dinner here. Awesome authentic European food. The pierogis and home fries were especially good. It’s a very small place so I would call ahead for reservations. We got our food to go. I highly recommend.

Overall just bland. The best thing was the sauerkraut soup. Could not get past noticing all the dust and spiderwebs on the mantle.

I really wanted to love this place. I mean, it has taken like 2 or three years to get reservations. Every time I call, it rings and rings and rings ... and the phone voice mail is always full. I was thinking it was closed down, but then I saw a review and so knew it was open. This week we called about five times before we got someone to answer. So my partner and I have worked extensively in Germany and fell in love with the cuisine. The lions on the front porch tell you that it is Bavarian food. I had the potato pancakes ... they tasted burned. The sausage platter had three sausages: one was a bit greasy, one was covered with spices and a bit strong, and the other was ok. The sauerkraut was good. Now the chicken schnitzel my partner had and the fries were awesome. The bread would have been good, but like half of it was soggy and wet like ice or something trapped in it. I guess it makes sense, seems impossible to get good German Sausages in Florida, at least so far. Next time we go I will get the schnitzel.

Though very small in size, flavor, taste and presentation is HUGE! Very homestyle cooking, flavors and presentation. Large selection of different preparations of schnitzel, all the customary accompaniments. Our party of 4 sampled the Bavarian Chicken Schnitzel, and Sauerbraten . Took home some apple strudel. Portions were very generous. Everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. Reservations HIGHLY recommended. I think there were only about 7 if not less tables. The restaurant is very small. Cultural music playing added to the overall ambiance of the place. You really are transported to a Bavarian village. Extremely authentic cooking.

In 2021, was our 1st visit to the Schnitzel Haus. We entered the establishment. There was no host or hostess stand. Upon entering, we stood, stood and stood. Eventually after about five minutes, a man who appeared to be the owner, approached us. No greeting what so ever. He asked if we had a reservation, to which we replied no. The restaurant was mostly empty. He told us that the next reservation opening was after 7:30PM. We were there at about 6PM. We walked out. The rudest reception ever in our over 50 years of dining out. We will NEVER return to the Schnitzel Haus. We will be at The Rhein-Stube in Daytona Beach instead. Very friendly service and great food. To bad we never had a chance to experience the Schnitzel Haus.

Extremely quiet and peaceful environment with thoughtful and professional servers. The restaurant itself has a very comfortable feel on the inside. Now for the food, it’s completely out of this world. I haven’t tasted anything like it ever since I was little at my grandmas house. Would highly recommend to anyone.

First time for me in a German restaurant. We shared a Jaeger Schnitzel with potatoes/gravy .. I had the Sauer Kraut soup. My wife had the chicken noodle soup .. red cabbage side. A Jaeger Schnitzel turns out to be sliced pork ( think Philly cheese steak tender) lightly breaded with mushroom and bacon on top. Awesome taste and very tender. Mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. Sauer Kraut soup was very good and didn't taste at all like regular Sauer kraut. Chicken noodle soup was tasty. Bread and cheese dip were a nice addition with very good taste. A totally awesome experience. I would suggest getting a reservation even tho we were walk ins. Great value as well. $3 upcharge for sharing but was well worth it. We highly recommend this restaurants. Generous portions .. Great taste .. Great value. Friendly staff. Loved it
