Great food and quick service. We really enjoyed everything we have ordered. Everything was tasty, big portions and nicely served.

Customer service extremely friendly but food was very expensive, instructions weren’t followed, and small portions

Probably the best if not one of the very best places in all of the area to get an amazing falafel sandwich. You can dress it like you would like to have a variety of toppings that you can add to the sandwich to make it your own and the flavors just exploding your mouth. They have great salads and side dishes and a great cauliflower Appetizer.

Came here with my wife for dinner tonight and I ordered a chicken sandwich and she had the chicken skewed with Matzo ball soup, and everything was delicious. We felt right at home with friendly customer service.

As a resident of Ormond Beach for many years we have tried most restaurants in our area. We had never visited J Grill before and happened by today on our way to an appointment so we thought we would give it a try since it didn't look busy and we needed to make lunch happen in an hour. The two of us arrived at 5 minutes to 3pm and only saw one couple sitting outside so we figured we could get in and out in an hour with no problem. Well, that didn't happen unfortunately. Our first impression walking in was mixed as the decor was beautiful and clean but the music was so loud that it was a struggle to carry on a conversation. I am a big supporter of family businesses as we are one ourselves and our kids grew up in our stores. In my opinion, if you have no one in the restaurant for awhile, let the kids get some energy out and sit in the main dining but if patrons start to arrive, it might be a good time to take the crying baby and the young child that is climbing over the booth backs elsewhere. This is a $25 hamburger establishment, not a noisy fast food joint. We did receive waters as soon as we were seated, 10 minutes later we were asked for our drink order and at the same time we put in our two appetizers and a sandwich order as I was concerned that if it took 10 minutes to take our drink order with only one other couple outside, we may not be able to get lunch in a timely fashion. 25 minutes later, we finally received our two glasses of iced tea after I asked the waitress if she forgot about our drinks as she was going past our table multiple times to serve the 6 top that came in. She said, "oh no, so sorry, we are short handed and really busy". She returns with one tea and I reminded her we ordered two. The couple outside had already come in once right after we arrived to ask where their drink was and now they came in to say they can't wait any longer and leave. I don't believe they even placed an order yet but I can't confirm that. At 3:47, 52 minutes after arriving, our food starts to show up. The hamburgers were already served to the 6 top by the way. The cauliflower bites came out first and tasted amazing although they were apparently sitting as they were not hot any longer, just barely warm (deep fried food). We quickly ate those and then here came the schnitzel fingers and corn beef sandwich which we had to ask to be boxed because we had to keep lunch at an hour. The schnitzel was a little bit warmer than the cauliflower and they were also very delicious and crunchy! The corn beef sandwich was very good as well even though we ate it later at home. I would say that the food is really very good. If they could get the service down and be more aware of the atmosphere, music and bouncing children, it would be a 5 star review. We may try it again but with so many other top notch restaurants in Ormond, it won't be a regular for us unfortunately.

Oh my goodness!! Exceptional middle eastern, Mediterranean, kosher food. The sampler appetizer platter, pita sandwiches, grilled veggies, and pino were all delicious, freshly made, hot stuff hot, cold stuff cold. Clean pleasant environment, wonderful service. Can't say enough good things. A definite repeat.

This is the best Middle Eastern restaurant I've eaten at in Florida. I have tried many places in Orlando and have been disappointed with all of them. There is one place in South Florida that is incredible and has until now been the only Middle Eastern restaurant in Florida that I enjoy eating at. I think J Grill may be slightly better and is my new favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. All of the dishes I tried were very authentic. All of the ingredients were fresh. Try the standard Middle Eastern fare here, hummus, falafel, pita, Israeli salad. It is the best you will find in the US. One reviewer stated that the food is good but they steal tips. The food is good yet they leave a one star review? More importantly, how do you steal a tip? A tip is given. If you gave them a tip how is that stolen. That is very confusing. My server was very kind and attentive and likely never stole anything in her life. I GAVE her a 25% tip. She deserved it.

Pita bread was hard and burnt . Lack of flavor on the hummus and cauliflower was bitter .

Delirious food!!! The best! Topped it off with a steaming hot cup of Turkish coffee setting out on their patio deck. I will be back to enjoy more lunches!

Went to the restaurant for the middle eastern food and was disappointed. Only chicken no lamb for shawarma. Mostly American food. Significantly over priced, $23 dollars for a hamburger, $18 for a shawarma. I will not return.

Delicious food, good service, plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The kitchen's execution is very good on all types of meat. Ribeye steak was unexpectedly tender, chicken schnitzel was perfect, and arayes (arais) just fantastic. French fries were expertly done as well. They closed for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner the day we went, so be sure to call and confirm timing before you head over if it's not mealtime.

Super delicious food, love the pita chips in particular. The sandwhich portion is really generous. The pita in general is amazing. This is a great spot for vegans, though unfortunately the cauliflower poppers contain egg. Every time I have ordered the food has been excellent and warm. Only downside is once it took about 10-15 mins extra time to be ready than the Toast app predicted but not a huge deal.

Stopped here on our way from Jacksonville to Miami as it’s on the way. The Challah Reuben was soooooo good, definitely order it!

One of the best Israeli food I have ever dined. My wife had the matza ball soap said it was amazing. I had a shawarma pita with a side of humus plate out of this world. The service was top top. So we reside about 100 miles away but will come back for some more.
