This was such a nice little dumpling spot in Oviedo. I tried several small plates as well as their Char siu pork lunch special with the golden rice which was incredibly flavorful. Their Sichuan shrimp dumplings were my favorite, with the slightly numbing sichuan chili sauce. And no dumpling meal is complete without a good egg custard bun, you have to try their lava bun absolutely worth it.

I had been meaning to visit this place for some time and was super excited to give it a shot. The dishes that I had were a little disappointing, but would be willing to give them another shot. The vegetable dumplings, Chinese broccoli, and pork dumplings were absolutely flavorless. They do have a "dumpling sauce" but that wasn't very helpful in making the food palatable. I did love the steamed egg buns and my daughter liked the fried pork bun, but the general assessment at our table was everything needed a healthy dose of salt or garlic or sesame oil or some sort of seasoning. The service was wonderful and it's very cute inside, I just don't think I ordered the right things to wow me. I'd be willing to try some other dishes at another time.

Kung Fu Dumpling: A Mixed As I stepped into Kung Fu Dumpling again, I couldn’t help but reminisce about past visits when the menu was more extensive. However, this time, I was met with a pared-down selection due to the age of the owner-chef as I was told. Let’s break it down:The Pros:Friendly Atmosphere: The restaurant still maintains its cozy ambiance, and the staff remains welcoming. It’s a place where you can unwind and enjoy a casual meal.Chicken Garlic and Eggplant: The chicken garlic and eggplant dish was satisfying. The flavors blended well, and it hit the spot.Decent Dumplings: While not exceptional, the dumplings were decent. The pork, shrimp, and chive dumplings were hearty, although I share my preference for a lighter dimsum skin. The Cons:Missing Favorites: Ah, the shrimp eggplant! A once-beloved dish that has vanished from the menu. It’s disappointing when a signature item disappears. And tofu lovers like us are left wanting.Lackluster Curry Mei Fun: The Curry Mei Fun lacked that extra oomph. A dash more salt or some hot wok curry seasoning could have elevated it.Tables Designed for Dumplings: the tables seem tailored for small dumpling plates. When it comes to larger entrees, it’s a bit of a juggling act.Overall Impression:Kung Fu Dumpling seems caught between tradition and adaptation. While the chicken garlic and eggplant held its ground, other dishes left room for improvement. The pork, shrimp, and chive dumplings leaned more toward meatballs than delicate fillings—a departure from the finesse of great Asian cooking.Parking: .. the usual strip center parking lot
