A shack is a very beautiful place on the Indian river in Melbourne Florida. Our server was Mary she was excellent Providing some of her favorite dishes and drinks, the food was excellent, and the service was stellar! I Hilly recommended this place! I will definitely be back again and again and again!

We biked over randomly to the River Shack. Kim was our server, it was a busy Sunday. Very friendly and gave great recommendations. Food was delicious. Velvet greeted us initially, she was great and we bonded over our bikes. Definitely be back. Can’t beat the shack environment and a midday beverage with the live music on the water.

Beware price gauging at this place. Stopped for lunch. Valet parking only. Ordered salad with grouper and a madium burger for the two of us. Burger was dry and tasteless. Salad was bagged. Spinach and greens were not fresh (brown edges) nor crisp, strawberries and tomatoes were hard and tasteless. Fish was mediocre at best and loaded with sodium. OK, location on the water was great so what are you going to do?Until, the bill came. $45 for a barely edible salad. I could have had a nice meal at a nice restaurant for the price I paid for this unappealing salad. Pay close attention to the menu or better yet, find another spot on the water and enjoy a reasonably priced meal!

in the beginning they greet us with “our kitchen closes in 25 min” and they said to choose a table then we wait and order right at the last second because no one came to us. servers were rude expect ours, ours just went MIA on us. We had to grab our own menus and silverware and even food. then claim it just came out. the plate was piping hot which means that it was just sitting on expo. we even had to get up and ask for a cup of water then my whole table had to share that single cup of water. service was horrible i had to ask 3 different people for everything we needed and we still didn’t get the correct service. we tipped because we’re educated not because it was deserved.
