PERFECT! When an old friend came to town that I hadn't seen in 10 years asked me to meet him here for lunch, I jumped in my car and raced over. I had eaten here before and was not a place I would ever choose since I was previously unimpressed, but I was just happy to see my friend. We sat down and immediately ordered cocktails, oysters, and the burnt salmon appetizer (even the cucumber kimchi garnish was phenomenal- we ordered more). So far- everything was outstanding (including our server). We proceeded to order more food- I was waiting for the disappointment. That moment never came. Turns out, there's been a new owner for over a year and my how this place has changed. From subpar food to some of the best food we have had in quite some time. The only places we eat for consistently good food is Okeechobee Steakhouse and the Seafood Bar at the Breakers. Well, happy to say we no longer have to drive all the way to Palm Beach for good seafood. We shared a lobster roll that was perfect (the crispy rosemary fries with aioli were delicious). The owner, Bryce, stopped by the table to chat. What a gentleman. He's not just the owner- he's a chef. We left the table to step outside and Bryce summoned us back to the table where the most stunning plates of raw scallops were waiting for us. When I say this dish was OUTRAGEOUS, it's not giving it justice. Then, two more surprise small plates came over... compliments of Chef Bryce. Our second server (we were there quite a while), Jen, only added to our fantastic day. She was our fun buddy and did a great job at recommending things, all while happily engaging in banter that we enjoyed so much. I cannot wait to go back! Everything from the food, to the staff, to the good vibe energy in this place was above standard. Thank you to all who participated in making this one of the best days and memorable meals. See you very soon!

It’s really hard to over-praise Spoto’s. My favorite restaurant anywhere. The food is exceptional, the service is the best anywhere, and the ambiance is welcoming. Please go.

We went to Sunday brunch, excited about "endless oysters". Unfortunately, they were the tasteless, mid coast variety. In addition we had a live worm in one of them, which turned us off of any raw food at that point. The manager came over and basically said "it happens".The hot dishes were small and fun to be able to try different things. The endless mimosas were lovely. Our server was great and very attentive.Unfortunately, the worm and the manager made the visit unpalatable enough that we won't be back.

We stay in this area every other year. Spotos used to be our favorite happy hour as they had a great Oyster deal. They have since ended that and the happy hour oysters, while still good, are pricier. We decided to try the brunch, inspired by the "endless oysters". Sadly, the oysters at brunch are the large, tasteless, mid coast oysters. We had the unfortunate addition of a live worm in one of them. The manager came over and basically said " it happens" (we have eaten a LOT of oysters and have never been served a worm). The small hot dishes were a fun way to try things. And the endless mimosas were lovely. But, we won't be returning.

I'm such a fan of this place. I'd really give it over 4 stars if I could. It's been around for 20 years. Food is always good. If you don't get the clam chowder when you go you are totally missing out on one of the best. Don't forget the coconut cream pie for dessert or to take home. Cool open concept with both indoor and outdoor seating. There's an out door bar area too. Service is always good. Sometimes I/we just like to sit at the bar if it's me or with my girlfriend. Good drinks and good times. Enjoy.

Spoto's Seared Black Grouper with Lump Crab Nestled in the heart of Palm Gardens Spoto's offers a gastronomic experience that transcends mere dining; it's a symphony of flavors orchestrated to perfection. My recent rendezvous with their Seared Black Grouper with Lump Crab dish was nothing short of a culinary revelation. From the moment the plate graced my table, adorned with vibrant colors and enticing aromas, I knew I was in for a treat. The seared black grouper, delicately charred to golden perfection, exuded a tantalizing aroma that hinted at the feast to come. With the first bite, I was transported to a realm of culinary bliss. The grouper, tender and flaky, melted in my mouth, releasing a burst of oceanic freshness that danced on my palate. Each forkful was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, elevated by the addition of lump crab meat, a decadent indulgence that elevated the dish to celestial heights. But it wasn't just the main ingredients that stole the show; every element on the plate played its part with precision. The bed of seasoned vegetables provided a refreshing contrast to the richness of the seafood, while the drizzle of citrus-infused sauce added a subtle tanginess that enhanced every bite. The culinary prowess of Spoto's chefs shines through in every aspect of this dish, from the sourcing of premium ingredients to the meticulous execution of each component. It's evident that passion and dedication are the secret ingredients behind every masterpiece that graces their menu. As I savored the last morsel, I couldn't help but applaud Spoto's for delivering an unforgettable dining experience. The Seared Black Grouper with Lump Crab dish is not just a meal; it's a symphony of flavors that deserves a standing ovation. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply seeking culinary excellence, Spoto's is sure to exceed your expectations.

The food was of low quality, unappetizing, and seemed not fresh. Additionally, they inexplicably added sausage to the mussels—a ridiculous choice for a vegetarian like me and far from traditional Italian cuisine. It's unheard of to mix meat with seafood like this. Even though the menu might have mentioned it, the dim lighting made it impossible to read the small print detailing the ingredients, prominently highlighting only "Mussels" in large font. The mussels were priced at $19, served in a small portion, and lacked flavor. Similarly, the red sauce was bland, and the salads were sour. The service left much to be desired as well. Our server was forgetful and disorganized, delivering hot dishes before the cold appetizers, failing to remember our request for separate bills, and mixing up orders. Despite the subpar food and service, a 20% gratuity was automatically included. Moreover, the cleanliness was questionable, with a dirty knife provided for my meal.Parking was another issue. The restaurant doesn't offer its own parking; the small free space nearby is always occupied, forcing patrons to use their valet parking service, which seems like a scheme to extract more money from customers. This is especially frustrating given that any parking spot is less than a 30-second walk away.I strongly advise against wasting your time and money at this terrible establishment.

Home of the world’s worst hostess. Went for Sunday brunch at 11:45 and we were turned away first because we didn’t have a reservation. Not given a wait time, turned away. There were at least 8 empty tables. Walked outside and went on open table and got a reservation for 12:15. Went back in to show my reservation and was told “we don’t have to honor reservations”. Thankfully her manager overheard her and he stepped in and gave us a table. 3 tables that were empty when we arrived were empty when we left. I will change my review to five stars when she is fired or confirmed no longer working there because the brunch is actually very good again.

It has been about six years since the last visit to Spoto's, through no fault of theirs. On this date, we decided to return for their always fresh oysters. We were promptly greeted, seated, and courteously attended to by Eladio. Service was five-star, oysters were delicious, the biggest demerit was the value for the dollar which is regrettably understandable in this economy. Spoto's Wish oysters were plump, juicy, and fresh. The oysters Rockefeller were warm and delicious. The lobster and warm noodles, while tasty, was a bit pricey for essentially half a Maine lobster and noodles. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the noodles were not overcooked. The angel hair pasta with its assortment of seafood was close to perfect with the clams being overcooked. The key lime pie was tart with a lingering aftertaste. Overall, the service was top notch but the food averaged out to be on par.
