Not their best showing.Our waitress was friendly though something happened with our order to seriously delay our food service; delayed enough that we felt the need to complain and ask. We never received an explanation of what happened.One of our party had to ask for clean utensils since her own had stuck on food.The kitchen must have run out of whipped cream. Our desserts, unlike others we had seen, came with none.Overall, the meal was good, but the portions for the surf and turf were very small and bread wasn't served with the meal until a passing waitress discovered the oversight.This experience taught me to never again accept another prix fixe reservation for which a restaurant insists that a tip (20%) be included.

My wife and I booked and prepaid for this restaurant's 2024 Valentine's Day four course dinner ($222 that included gratuity and tax, plus we spent an additional $55 for wine, sparkling water, coffee and gratuity). We were very disappointed with our experience. We were initially seated at a table for two that was already set up with the menus, etc., but the owner asked us if we would prefer a different table for two by the window, so we moved. He sat down and talked to the people at the table next to ours for several minutes while we just sat there with no service at all. The restaurant did hand out a lovely single rose to every lady there, so that was a good touch. My wife finally waved at him to see if we could get some service and a few minutes later a waitress came by and asked if we wanted water and if we wanted to order any wine. We asked for for water and ordered wine. Never got the water until later when we ordered sparkling water, but we did get the wine. Our waitress was very inattentive--we rarely saw her. It was like we were an after thought. We finally were asked for the particulars of our food orders. We both ordered the Surf and Turf entree, after seeing the nice Filet Mignon the woman next to us had. We seemed to wait quite awhile between courses. When our entrees came, we were both served Filets that looked nothing like the lady next to us had and while we had both ordered Medium Rare both of our steaks were pretty much on the Done or Well Done side. My wife flagged down an employee and told them and I will say they replaced her steak very quickly, although it was still more Medium than Medium Rare. I ate mine as it was served and did not send it back, so that's on me, but it was tasty anyway. The lobsters were very good. Overall and for what the meal cost, the food was at best mediocre and the service was very lacking, The experience was no where near worth what it cost, period. We were very disappointed, expecting much better because a year ago La Piazza handled our 50 year wedding anniversary dinner party for 20+ people and they did a fantastic job with the food and the service was outstanding. My wife stated today she will not go back there to eat.
Mariah was our server and she was spot on. Excellent recommendations, and very informative in regards to the menu. We loved the outdoor seating, and the provided heaters when it was chilly. As for the food, the Caprese salad was phenomenal. Top-notch cheese, and tomatoes. Absolutely loved it. The complementary bread and balsamic oil was fantastic as well. The entrées came with a salad if you could call it that. It is a bowl of fresh greens, but it was a little less exciting. We ordered two entrées and both turned out phenomenal. A prosciutto wrapped chicken in a butter, sage sauce, and the chicken piccata. Fantastic entrées. The evening was completed with an amazing roasted almond tiramisu. Could not have asked for a better meal.

First time dining in at La Piazza Cafe with a few friends this past weekend! Had such a great experience with our server Niki. She was very attentive to our table making sure our drinks were always filled, very knowledgeable about every dish on the menu. Overall Niki was a very friendly and beautiful server!

Wish I could give more stars. The house dressing for salads is so good that the sweet waitress gave me a couple small containers to take home. I've eaten here a few times and everything is fabulous. It's in the European village tucked away but has great rooms for any event. I travel from Jacksonville just to eat here!
