Had a great SeaHut burger for lunch on Sunday along with a small side spinach salad with warm bacon and onion dressing! Was so good, as well as the margarita's, excellent!! My husband had the clams and sweet potatoe wedges, also very good! We sat at the high top tables and Seana is allways very attentive and pleasant! Considering our last visit here was awful, I was so glad that this visit was awesome !! Love this place !

I hope the remodel comes with better food and service. The only thing I really liked was the nautical atmosphere.

Hole in the wall diner with outstanding food. Food youd find Gordon Ramsay serving for twice the price.

First off, I want to say our server Francois (I think that's how you spell his name) was fantastic. He knew the dishes, was very attentive and just a great asset to the establishment. So the food, we first ordered the calamari(delicious) then I ordered the stuffed shrimp, with corn and peppers and Cajun cauliflower. The stuffed shrimp was very bland, just like the cauliflower, the corn and peppers was delicious. My wife had the fried catfish, shrimp and clam strips. Her food had, some flavor and was cooked just right. It was our first time and despite my food not being how I like my shrimp, we will definitely be back. We spent over $70 for 2 people, no alcoholic drinks, I had sprite/coke mixed, my wife had water. The restaurant decor, reminded me of City Island in NY.

Excellent food, excellent service from Francois, and excellent atmosphere. The new floating dock dining area was super romantic, just me and the wife tonight. The Salmon Wellington, and the Grouper Oscar were amazing. Also, the Smoked Old Fashioned… BOOM - Out of this world!!! We will be back!!!

This place was ELITE! Some of the best seafood I’ve had anywhere. Service was great. Atmosphere was very old Florida and country which I prefer over the fancy schmancy garbage. Great people, great food. We will be back. (A lot)

We found this little “gem” of a restaurant today while exploring Palmetto. Johanna, the bartender, was spot on with her recommendations of the spinach salad and the crab stuffed mushrooms. Hubby enjoyed the crab cake and strip steak combo, with his side choices of cajun cauliflower and sweet potato fries, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was great with its Old Florida charm, and we look forward to dining outside when the weather breaks later this year. We recently moved to Palmetto from the LWR area and plan to make this restaurant a “Go-to” since it’s just 5 miles from home and away from all the crowds. Love, love, this place! Easy to find just north of Palmetto on route 19 just before the bridge, this is a great spot on your way to or from St. Pete. Plenty of parking and east access to major highways.

Our family had a great meal last Saturday night. This is a great family owned business that has stood the test of time. I love their fried shrimp and home fry’s!!

We ordered fried oyster and two sides for me and shrimp quesadillas for my boyfriend. The oysters were hard to eat. The oyster and the batter was separated and also Mac and cheese wasn’t good. The shrimp quesadillas was also very salty and not good enough. I ate at your restaurant twice in the past and both times were good. I am very disappointed this time. I will think twice before coming back there again.

A classic, very old school seafood restaurant. This is by no means a fine dining establishment, so you cannot compare this to a Michelin star restaurant. But, that is not the point. The point here is to enjoy a piece of Florida history. The old school ways. The old school design. There are so many seafood places down here that are new and shiny but the food is not great and they feel artificial. Artificial ambience. Food that is prepared en masse for crowds of drunk people. This is far from that.We occasionally go here for a couple of beers at lunch. We sit at the bar. We get some light food like the spinach salad and their shrimp cocktail. Unfortunately this was just removed from the menu. They need to bring that back. The other night we were delighted to have a couple of old fashioneds ....with applewood smoke infusion. It was an unexpected treat. In the middle of nowhere, far from the city, we had a very sophisticated drink. If you are not from the area, sit at the bar and have a couple of drinks and get your bearings. If you have kids, they can go out and look at the fish in the river as it is right on the water. The view is not a typical riverfront it is all mangrove with huge fish and very peaceful surroundings..This piece of History needs to be preserved, thankfully it is a great experience and the food is very very good. We've tried a few places around here on the river and there's nothing like this.
