Came to this restaurant when I was a little girl, now I’m in my 50’s. Just dined at the restaurant this past weekend with my husband, let’s just say, the food was mediocre and overpriced. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms but was served the baked oysters instead by accident. We did not say anything to our server because we like baked oysters and decided to try them because we did not want to wait for them to correct our order. The oysters were just okay. They were covered in way too much cheese, for our taste. The calamari we ordered was actually pretty good. We also ordered she crab soup that tasted like it had way too much flour or thickening agent in it, was not the best. Once appetizers were done, we were served our salads. The salads were pretty skimpy for a side salad. It was just chopped iceberg lettuce with two small tomatoe slices on each one. Very lackluster. I ordered the seafood platter with the baked Florida lobster. The food was very dry, like it sat under a heat lamp for a good while before being served. My husband got the tomahawk steak which was just okay. It was cooked to the proper temperature but lacked seasoning. In our opinion, this restaurant is way overrated, the food was not that great. Also! Our server ran our card for an incorrect ticket, then ran it again for the correct one. Our bill was almost $200 without tip, not including the other ticket that was ran over $100. We had to wait 3-5 business days for the incorrect charge to go back on our account. The food at the Laketown Warf was WAY better and is all you can eat. Their she crab soup, salad bar is AMAZING with all you can eat crab legs, filet mignon, and other side/seafood options.

The restaurant is pretty but in my opinion, it’s overrated. The food is pricey for what it is. The house salad is literally lettuce with two slices of tomato… nothing else besides your dressing. The complimentary bread that’s delivered to the table is hard and flavorless. I had the stuffed shrimp and it was really good! Great flavor and a good portion size. Their “famous” crab cakes left a lot to be desired. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was pretty good. The feud cake for dessert was the most bland, flavorless thing I’ve ever seen passed off as a dessert. The best part of it was the cool whip. Their gift shop is cute and gives you something to do while you wait for your table to be ready. Parking was easy and they had plenty of space for you to wait for your table to be prepared. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. The view of the boats is also nice. This was a one and done for me. I’ve dined once and honestly don’t feel the need to go back again.

I visited Captain Anderson restaurant on Thomas Drive for the first time, having lived in the area over 5 years. I ordered a crab stuffed flounder fillet with broccolini and she-crab soup. The soup was excellent, especially with the complimentary rolls. I have tried she-crab soup at three different restaurants, and this was the first time that I wished I ordered a bigger bowl. The fish was cooked excellently, although the crab stuffing in the center tasted a little undercooked.Overall, it's definitely worth the visit if you want fresh local seafood that is skillfully prepared and served in a lovely Maritime themed restaurant.

The best seafood we've ever had

Our casual fine dining experience was delightful. Despite a 20-minute wait, it was well worth it. The food was excellent, especially the She crab soup, which was absolutely divine—I could have consumed gallons of it! The macaroni side dish was the best I’ve ever had, and the main entrée of grouper imperial was superb. Additionally, their extensive drink menu caters to those who enjoy alcohol

My favorite restaurant when I visit PCB. I had the seafood platter. It exceeded my expectations!Parking: This is a popular place. We arrived at a peak time. There was parking available but not close to the entrance.

I can sit here & write an unbelievable story about my experience with, what I think is the best restaurant for seafood, that I've ever experienced in my 57 yrs of eating seafood all over the US & abroad..but if you've never been there & go, be prepared to be blown away by this experience..Best grits you will ever put in your mouth. Went there twice this weekend, Friday & Saturday, why...? Because I wanted to make sure that Friday night wasn't a fluke, with the best red snapper I've ever eaten...was no fluke, Mahi Mahi was cooked superbly & the grits were award winning...without question, I will be back...thank you for a magnificent dining experience

I never thought I'd be writing this about my favorite restaurant in PCB but here goes. We have been going to Anderson's for 24 years. Service and food was always second to none. It better be for the prices but the ambiance, service and food was all worth the tab. Now, far from it. We went a month ago and I figured it was an off night so we went again on 5/2 for my birthday and all I can say is , you have lost your lister Captain. It seems that most the staff who have been there for years if not decades have been replaced with young inexperienced staff. Our food was rushed, drinks not refilled and just a bad vibe overall. Now the food. We have always loved their stuffed shrimp but this looked like it came from Captain D's, not Captain Anderson's. I should have taken a pic but it looked like kids squeezed breadcrumbs around a tiny shrimp and threw it in a plate. Absolutely unappealing and all it tastes like was garlic and breadcrumbs. And apparently the dress code of the clientele has gone out the window as well as kids were running around in tank tops and soccer shorts in a place that has the most elegant atmosphere in the Gulf. Sorry Captain, you get two stars. Last time will be our last time.
