I as visiting family recently and they wanted to pick up bbq from JR’s. This may be my favorite bbq restaurant now. The food was wonderful and the prices were reasonable. The service was very good also. (Don’t leave this place without getting the banana pudding!)

Like anything in Panama City it's either bussing or not. When it's good it's really good but when it's not it really is not. Hard to pin down if it's the day of the week or who's working as it can happen during a weekday or weekend. But at these prices it should always be on the better spectrum.

The chicken was dried out, Pork had no flavor, and the beef was so tough you couldn't eat it.

Definitely get your money's worth and the prices are very good!Vegetarian options: Okra, greens, breads, green tomatoes are scrumptious!Dietary restrictions: Ribs without the sauce don't bother relative's diverticulitis. Mac n Cheese had no effect on relative's lactose intolerance.Parking: There's parking in front as well as on the side of the restaurantKid-friendliness: The servers are kind to the tots and high chairs were available
