It was an awesome dining experience until the new owners came in and changed too many recipes. Then they fired the g.m. and a lot of employees, and spun the story to deflect any blame on their part. The original owners created a legacy. The new owners made it just like their other over priced restaurants in town. Panama City now only has Maddies for a decent Mexican restaurant.

I used to love it here, but I went during what o expected would be a busy evening, and it was more than a busy. The restaurant was pretty much crippled by the business. We went on July 3rd for dinner, and we were seated outside. I waited 45 minutes for a table and then we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food after we ordered. Overall, we spent over 3 hours waiting here because we also had to wait a long while for the server to come to our table and take our drink orders after we were sat. It was ridiculous. Honestly, it wasn't even busy enough for all of that. What is worse is that instead of focusing on pleasing her waiting tables, our server was busy chatting it up with other workers, standing around laughing. As someone who has worked years in the service industry, I think that is blatantly poor service. We sat with empty drinks for half of our wait and had to ask another server, passing us for extra chips. She was awful. Even if you can't do anything about the kitchen crashing, you should at least let your tables know what is going on and take care of them. She came to our table 1 time in between ordering and receiving our food, which, again, was almost 2 hours. Then, on top of all of that, our party of 6 had gratuity, which explains why she didn't care about our table. She knew she would get something and didn't have to. I'm not sure that I'll ever be going back. The food was subpar too. 3 of our foods came out cold. My server never came back to check in and see how it was until she was bringing checks.
My food was decent. Honestly it is hard to compare to my local Mexican restaurant. Not a great deal of flavor on my fajitas. However wife bragged on her taco salad. Daughter had burrito and liked it.

Suddenly closed their doors mid day and left all their staff without a job. Changing stories as to why. Food has gone terribly downhill. Wouldn't recommend but will never go to this place again. Shame on you!!

This used to be a quaint little restaurant with the same owners forever. However, since they sold it, it's been all down hill. The food isn't great and takes forever to make it to your table. The live music on the back deck is nice, but they don't have a proper set up for live music, so if you want to actually have a conversation with the other people at your table, it's best to sit inside. Otherwise, you run the risk of getting seated at one of the 3 or 4 tables that are DIRECTLY beside the performers. So Loud!
