I don't know what is going on with smithy's this year. They've always had good food in my opinion. It's a hit or miss if they are going to be open, especially during business hours when most other restaurants are open. Maybe they are about to close up. Shame.

If any small business deserves to go out of business it's definitely Smittys. We have time and time again made plans for lunch according to their limited hours shown on website and Facebook. This information is always incorrect. Seems like if the wind blows the wrong way they close for the day. I understand having to limit hours now because of lack of employees but this was going on before Covid. Apparently they don't need to be open as a business.

The very sweet server was awesome. The pulled pork, Brunswick stew, sweet potato side and garlic bread was outstanding! I highly recommend it...Now.. only complaint. The salad was a embarrassment. I would not sell or serve that as a side salad with the pics of your salad bar on google. (Big reason I decided to come try the restaurant)That was a bowl of lettuce 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and 2 slices of cucumber again sliced in half.However, the salad would certainly not discourage me from coming back. I highly recommend the food and the service with a smile was great.Be aware they are short staffed as much of the country is so hours are cut so do check hours before going.

While on vacation we looked for a good place to eat and found this place near our hotel. From the moment we walked in the door it was clear that customer service was important. The food was excellent and the staff was great. Our food came out hot, fresh, and delicious.

I have been waiting to go here since before the hurricane. I finally managed to place a to go order. My order was not correct. When I called back to mention it the lady, Susan acted like I was lying. Not sure how fries and okra sound the same. No apology only that I could get fries when I come back. The hostess was rude to me and another customer for coming in the dining room area to get our to go order. I guess we were supposed to know where to go. A lot of businesses are short staffed, but no reason to be rude! Hang up a sign or tell people on the phone. I WON'T be going back!
The food was delicious and so was the service. Smitty's has the best BBQ and stew in all of Panama city and the Bay county area. We love Smitty's.

Service was great the lady that served us was attentive and friendly. Food was good for production BBQ. Had chicken great smoke line just didn't bust out the top with flavor. There again this is production BBQ. Price fair food good service great. Why not !!! Worth a visit.
