My best friend and I stayed at the hotel for the evening and brother Fox was highly recommended. We went for dinner and it was absolutely delicious and the ambience was super cool. We also had the sweetest waiter. His name was George and he was absolutely wonderful. He also helped us since we were tourists, figure out where to go afterwards to enjoy a fun filled evening. Thank you so much George you were wonderful.

Brother Fox is a hidden gem in downtown Pensacola. Upon recommendation, my husband and I shared the carne asada. When I say “shared,” I mean I was able to wrestle some away from him and still have the most incredible leftovers. The portion was plentiful and the presentation was pristine. Don’t skip dessert either - churros for the win!!

From the atmosphere to the quality of the food and care of the wait staff, Brother Fox covers all the bases. They have brought a unique dining experience to Pensacola that has been consistently good everytime I have been! I highly recommend the grilled octopus (pictured below), pan con tomate, and the shishito peppers.

My husband had the filet and I had the salmon special, both were delicious. We also had the roasted oysters they were amazing. Our waiter was solicitous, efficient and nice. Our only complaint would be the noise level. Would suggest they invest in acoustical panels to absorb some of the noise. Will definitely return to Brother Fox. So nice to have more fine dining options in Pensacola.

Brother fox was an enjoyable experience but expensive. My husband had the oysters and he thought they were nice but could have been more flavorful. I had the pan con tomate and marinated olives to start. The bread with tomatoes was delicious and garlicky but the olives were closer to a jar of mixed olives in oil. We split the skirt steak for two. It was tangy with a nice grill but for the cost it could have been a better cut of meat. We shared the crème brûlée and I would have liked it to be more silky smooth but it had a perfect brûlée top. The service and ambience were fine. All in all, we were happy with our dinner but I would sum the components up as average food dressed up with nice style, cookery and seasoning.

I attended the first dance watch party with Margaret at Brother Fox. I ordered the carne asada. It was amazing and the portions were huge. I will go back soon.

I have had several events hosted at Brother Fox and each on is better than the next. The staff is personable with my guests and they have enjoyed getting to know them. The new menu items are amazing and you can never go wrong with the in house made desserts. Brother Fox is also my favorite brunch location. I recommend the bikini sandwich.

We had a wonderful time with Margaret at the First Dance viewing event held at Brother Fox. The food was fantastic and the drinks were even better. Best cocktails I’ve had in Pensacola.

Noisy... perhaps that's the way some people prefer to "fine" dine. It was hard to hold a conversation to say the least. The service was ...lacking. Our server was MIA when we needed our appetizers, when we need more drinks, when we wanted to order and when we needed a desert menu. I feel bad that I can't say something good about this beautiful restaurant as this was my second time there and may well be my last. Very expensive and just not in the league of a fine dining experience. This night was our friend's 40th Anniversary and I sent two notes ahead of time to reserve a table and to let the staff know this was a special occasion...but that apparently fell on deaf ears as nobody even welcomed us or acknowledged my notes. I am disappointment and upset to feel like I wasted a night with close friends at a place (I felt) should have been really good to share. I shared my thoughts with our server when we left. I don't plan to return.

We were disappointed. Our experience started out with a rude host. We were unaware there was a wine list until half way through our meal. The restaurant is pretty, but so loud that we had to be moved outside to carry on a conversation. The food was not over the top or outstanding as it's been publicized . We noticed shortcuts being taken; instead of wood fire grilling, they were using a tourch to char the food. We so wanted to like this place, but it fell short. If you are seated on the patio, you are overlooking a parking lot...car lights are shining on you. We really wanted to love this place, but it fell short.

The Sangria was fantastic. I had a Cesar salad with anchovies and my wife had the Brussels lemonade salad and both were enjoyable. We both had paella for our main and we were quite disappointed. It was very small. 2 medium shrimp, 2 mussels and 2 clams on risotto for $34. That's $5 for each of the shrimps, mussels and clams, and $4 for the risotto. The seafood was pretty much unseasoned. Way, way overpriced.

Food, service and ambience was certainly above average and impressive for Pensacola. Unfortunately, they were out of the grilled octopus. The seafood boil was and a great sauce, but was expecting sausage to be included instead of just made into the sauce. I will certainly give it another try.

Had an overall pleasant dining experience for a nice date night! Knowing that this restaurant is more fine dining experience, I expect to pay more. However, it was very overpriced for the amount of food you get.
