**SAVORY**Quaint place with the most pleasant a friendly staff. When they got a little busy they were extremely apologetic and tended to my needs as best they could.I believe I arrived at the most busiest time of day (around 1200-1400) which made parking a little difficult.At first, due to parking, I was a little perturbed but once I received my food it was bliss at first bite. It reminded me of my families cooking which I only get during the holidays. Everything was amazing! Literally from the minute you walk in it's so welcoming. The food was great. The staff and owner couldn't have been more friendly. We had been looking for some great tostones and chicken stew since we moved here as that was what we had on our first date and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend!

I’m going to give this place another try maybe not as close to their closing time but ngl I was disappointed by the first impression of the food. And I have been so excited to try this place and wanted to love it. I’m hoping the the cook that was on this evening was just having an off day. I ordered the Bistec sandwich and Relleno de Platano, the steak was so dry I couldn’t even finish the sandwich and didn’t have much flavor, I’m still going to eat it tomorrow with some sauce smothered on it. The Platano had a nice flaky crisp on the outside but it was also very dry, but the beef had slightly more flavor.

This was somehow my first visit to Joe’s Caribe and WOW! I will definitely be back time and time again. I am vegan so was drawn in by their menu as a participant in the Pensacola “vegan challenge.” My husband and I ordered the bori vegan burger and the jackfruit pernil with trifongo. The burger was perfectly seasoned and cooked, I usually don’t care for Impossible burgers but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The plantain bun and the flavorful sauces really made it unique and perfect. The yucca fries on the side were amazing too. The real star of the show in my opinion was the jackfruit pernil dish. The jackfruit was cooked perfectly and i never knew jackfruit could be so flavorful. This was my first time trying trifongo as well and now I am hooked! The portion size was huge and the food was so delicious. The service was amazing as well, the staff and manager on duty were extremely hospitable, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing experience. They also said they will be keeping their vegan menu items permanently as well as experimenting with other vegan menu items so definitely check them out if you are looking for more vegan options!!!Dietary restrictions: Tons of delicious vegan/vegetarian options!
