Everyone is very friendly. The catfish and Mahi Grits are good. The flounder may have been slightly over-fried.

There were four of us. We had 2 mullet plates, a shrimp po boy, and a shrimp plate. The shrimp plate had enough shrimp to eat and still have a doggie bag. The mullet plates had plenty of fish. The po boy was overflowing with shrimp. My favorite thing was the hot and crispy fries. I also liked the cucumber and tomato salad. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience. We were all very satisfied with the food, the service, and the atmosphere.

Awful experience with the male owner. I came into Shannon’s for food and was working the area at the time searching for the owner of the buildings for some county work needing to be done. The cashier thought maybe the owner of Shannon’s who was there at the time could help me with getting in contact with the property owner. The owner of Shannon’s came out and immediately had an attitude with me asking why I didn’t go ask any of the buildings other tenants and questioning me on things that were irrelevant to getting the info I needed. I responded with I could gladly go ask someone else that this just seemed convenient considering I was going to eat there. His demeanor changed when he realized I was a customer as well. Food wasn’t even good, typical fried food which I would’ve much rather spent $45 on at the oar house

Awesome big portions. I got the crawfish po boy and for $15 it came piled high with crawfish. A little hole in the way place that has awesome food!

The fried shrimp here is large and luscious. It is a very small cafe that has or had curb service. The waitress accepted tips she was required to turn over to the boss. The curb service was great. This was over a year ago. I recently noted there are a couple of small tables in there now. Virtually no ambiance it's so small so no room in there. The food is what matters, however, and the shrimp were fab. I'll bet they still are, as well as the other fare.

Stellar amount of food ?. I've been in FL for about 2 years and am constantly disappointed with the quantity mostly. But this place rocks with the quantity and quality! Love it and I'll be back!

I hear such wonderful reviews about your restaurant, but I will never know since my days off are Sunday and Monday. So many people, especially hair dressers, estheticians and nail techs have these days off as well.I hope you will do so well that you trust your kitchen crew to cook like you do and you can open on the days that 1000,s of people are off. Thanks,Shannon

As a self-proclaimed foodie seeking the best eats in Pensacola, I was thrilled to discover Shannon's Seafood Kitchen. This modest spot serves up fresh, delicious seafood at wallet-friendly prices.I started with fried green tomatoes, sliced and expertly fried in a light cornmeal batter till crispy outside and melty inside - simply delectable. The shrimp po' boy that followed was a thing of beauty, stacked with plump, juicy shrimp fried golden and topped with lettuce, tomato and their fantastic house sauce on a toasted roll. Every bite was sheer joy. While the restaurant itself is small with just a few tables, the focus is on serving quality, Southern-inspired seafood classics. The service is welcoming and attentive. When it comes to affordable seafood in Pensacola done right, Shannon's hits the mark. For anyone looking for a great meal that won't break the bank, I can't recommend Shannon's Seafood Kitchen enough. The food is fantastic with generous portions, the prices are reasonable, and the friendly service completes the charming experience. This is now my go-to spot for crave-worthy fried seafood served up with a smile in a relaxed, tidy setting. A true local gem!

In the past 2 weeks I have stopped or called and they were closed during their normal business hours. I hope they didn't go out of business.
